This year's theme was simple: one. Each student was asked to choose a single word to act as a thread throughout their entire speech. Over the past year students researched, drafted, revised, memorized and finally presented speeches organized around a single word. Thematic words included: Schadenfreude, Truth, Ubiquity, Civilization, Choice, Brimming, Click and prophecy. Further, the production of this event is entirely student run, from stage design and lighting to catering and decorations, the students handle every detail.
