WISS will host its first TEDx event on April 17th, 2014. TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.

Our event, TEDxYouth@WISS, will include a combination of live presenters and screening of TED Talks videos relating to the common theme, “What is the world waiting for?” The intent of the theme is to foster learning and inspiration and to generate meaningful discussion around topics such as innovation, education, honesty, integrity, fear, justice, humanity and peace. Our live presenters will include special guest speakers, as well as select members of our school community-students, parents, teachers and staff. Even our early years’ students will take part in presenting ideas that they believe are worth sharing.

The event will be held in the WISS Orsini Theater on April 17th, 2014 at 7:00pm. The event will also be webcast enabling others to watch in different locations around the world.
