TEDxUChicago 2014: Make No Little Plans was held at Mandel Hall on the University of Chicago campus on Saturday, April 19, 2014, from 10am to 5pm. Doors opened at 9 am. The event was centered on the theme: "Make No Little Plans," inspired by Daniel Burnham's famous line:
"Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir man's blood and probably themselves will not be realized."
In the spirit of Burnham, the chief architect of the 1893 World's Fair, our conference fused the local and universal, the innovative and the neoclassical. Attendees and speakers were able to interact and all, we hope, were driven to creatively improve our collective future.
Our conference was emceed by keynote speaker, communication expert, and executive mentor Stacey Hanke of Stacey Hanke Inc.
The event at the 830-seat Mandel Hall was sold-out.
