“Gaining perspective” implies enriching our current vision on existing concepts, ideas and issues, and looking for alternative approaches. Through a variety of talks with focus on different fields of study, our aim is to navigate diverse disciplines from innovative and interesting points of view.
TEDxSciencesPoReims will offer a balance of ideas from both top-down and bottom-up approaches.
This double perspective – top-down and bottom-up - will encourage the understanding of the driving forces of society, as well as present innovative ways of analysing issues, which will allow for a better understanding and interpretation of the world around us.
Gaining Perspective will be possible thanks to the flow of ideas and stories from different disciplines that deserve to be heard. It will bring us the chance to share passions and inspirations, discover new visions of the world, and experience the power of ideas in a constantly changing environment.

Karthik V. Narayan
Karthik V. Narayan is a Sr. Experience Designer and Innovation Engineer at Dentsu Isobar USA. He is also a visiting researcher at the Changing Places Group, MIT Media Lab. His research focuses on finding solutions to mobility challenges in BRIC countries mainly through On-Demand systems on a public level. Interests include machine learning, Internet of things, big data analytics, future mobility systems, smart cities and smart grids.
