Theme: Action

This salon will explore the “act of doing” as catalyzed through the medium of film. Films are often regarded as mere entertainment but film can promote and evoke social and personal change. Both talks show the idea of doing by taking action in their communities and using film as the vehicle for their ultimate goals. These talks will encourage the discussion of film as an agent for community development, self awareness and the defining of our cultural identity.
