In 2014 the name is TEDxGdynia "TODAY.TOMORROW.CITY". Living in the city nowadays allows to observe the changes of the city, of the community. There are a few paths because on the one hand people are getting closer again trying to balance their leisure and work time and on the other hand the technology is almost everywhere and it's essential to use it in the proper and balanced way not to lose the personal contacts with people.
TEDxGdynia 2014 can be about wide range topics covering our life, our space, identity in and of the city. About today solutions regarding lots of aspects and about our dreams of the future, how we create the functional city.
The event takes into consideration philosophy, sociology, city marketing, business and design, future visions and technology solutions for citizens (about public transport that is both accessible and innovative, how the future trams can look like...), for architecture (regarding the piers as contact points for the sea and the solid land) and even for industry (especially of environment engineering and the biotechnology solutions, such as using the plant called sundew to rebuild the ecosystem).
