Humans have always pushed the boundaries... without our doing so, much of our modern world and the ideas within it would still be unknown to us.
Our TEDxCalgary event on June 4th brought you the stories of many modern explorers. In their own ways, they've explored the frontiers of ideas and actions that help us to better understand and work with the complex systems that surround us: agriculture and food, education, medicine, global conflict, leadership and collaboration, and others.
From Alanna Mitchell's sobering analysis that rising acidity in the world's oceans could spell disaster for our global ecosystem in less than a generation, to Judge John Reilly's provocative definition of human justice being every child having a safe place to sleep at night, to Marcello Di Cintio's engaging talk on the strange relationship we humans have with walls (some even play them musically), we explored frontiers of ideas and actions that matter.
