In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anish Sen Majumdar

He earned his PhD in biochemistry, moved to USA to complete his postdoctoral studies and joined Stanford University School of'medicine to pursue research on types of progenitor and mature immune cells in the context of health and disease states of the body. During his career, he has trained hundreds of scientists and has been a member of various international societies that are involved in globalizing scientific and clinical research using stem cells and formulating international policies for regulating the use of stem cells in human disease conditions.

An IIT Bombay 2006 graduate, a beloved teacher, an innovative entrepreneur and a Bollywood scriptwriter (his movie, ‘Katti Batti’, is releasing on 18th September, 2015), Anshul Singhal is a versatile individual with varied interests; he fancies being a connoisseur on the one hand and a politics critic on the other. His very first documentary movie was produced by IIT Bombay. His talk circumscribes one of the major problems faced by adolescents, that is, their struggle ‘to fit in’. Mr. Singhal has the perfect solution – don’t. He describes his penchant for story-telling as ‘his superpower’ and encourages students to find theirs. He shares with you a strategy to resist peer pressure and celebrate being yourself, through his entertaining yet cogent talk.

Pushkar Ingale

An Engineer and an Industrial /designer from IDC (IIT BOMBAY), Pushkar started his carrier styling motorcycles for an Automobile company and shifted gears to design medical device solutions for unmet needs fo the country.Currently he is the head of the Pune based India design office of Laerdal Global Health which hopes to design solutions to save the lives of new born and mothers on the day of birth.

Sanjay Mahashabde

An architect attracted towards Vedic philosophy, he stresses of the aspect of it that deems humans not as just creations of blood and flesh but as those with soul and mind. Instead of thinking Vastru Shastra as a part of Indian astrology, we must think Indian astrology as apart of Vastru Shastra- it is that powerful.

Shalaka Sisodia

Co- owner of an NGO called 'Seeds of Awareness LLP', Shalaka has facilitated more than 2000 youths for sexual health awareness and other life skills She helps transform lives of sex trafficking survivors through 'Dance Movement Therapy'.

Vikas Plakkot

Vikas took from the final day of his engineering to teach children in a low income school in Pune when he co-founded 'Just for Kicks'- a social enterprise delivering high quality physical education program fro low budget school. An Ambassador of the United Nations Global Education First Initiative. Vikas has since been slowly steadily laying the foundation towards getting every child to play.
