Theme: Simphony of Ideas

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Arfian Fuadi

Scientists

Although only a vocational school graduate, did not dampen the spirit of Arfi’an to keep working. His name is known after he won the competition held by GE (General Electronic). Attended by participants from 56 countries, Arfi’an Fuadi was able be a winner and beat the other participants in the challenge of 3D printing contest to redesign the jet engine bracket. He explore the field of engineering design by autodidact. Currently Arfi’an open D-tech engineering business specializing in the mechanical design. He constantly trying to innovate. Arfi’an was not miserly to share his knowledge, he opened classes for vocational students and anyone who wants to learn design at his home.

Bapak Kuswanto

Mr. Kuswanto is a lecture of Faculty of Engineering at Sebelas Maret University (UNS). Most of his time is dedicated to blind people who can not read the Qur'an. He gave the place as well as supporting facilities so that blind people can learn the religion better He did it because he was concerned with disabilities schools which are still minimum provides religious materials according to school to share with blind people is one of the joys of life.

Founder Sekolah Alam Bengawan Solo

Being an alumnus of the Faculty of Education, Universitas Sebelas Maret—Mr. Yudi prefers to devote his life to education. He built Bengawan Solo School of Nature (SABS) for the marginal people, it is expected for children who are less able, to get a decent and qualified education with the informal school of nature system. SABS has become a reference for comparative study of various regions in Indonesia, even from Malaysia, France, Japan, Sweden, Canada, and Australia. He has a dream that the school can be recognized by the government as an example for school of nature.

Endah Laras

Dancer/Kroncong Sinden

A dancer and kroncong sinden (a Javanese style of singing), born from a puppeteer father and a dance teacher mother. Living in a family of artists makes her familiar with the world of song and dance. Endah started his career by appearing on stage performances and parties. She has been involved in performing Wayang Superstar Dewa Ruci at Tropen Museum, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Les Orientales Festival de Saint-Florent-le-Vieil, France, and The 13th Suwon Hwaseons Fortress Theater Festival, South Korea.

Erie Sudewo is a Social Entrepreneur who encouraged to establish Character Building Indonesia in 2010 in order to contribute to build a better Indonesia. His success building and leading Dompet DhuafaRepublika,has inspired many social institutions in playing a role in tackling poverty in Indonesia. He was awarded The Best Social Entrepreneur of The Year 2009 from Ernst & Young, and many other awards. His commitment in the development of the character of Indonesian human resources, makes most of his agenda filled to sharetips of best practice in the development of character, leadership and institutional building for companies, governments, academicians, and students.

Muhammad Syukri Kurnia Rahman

Reading books is now easier and more enjoyable. It is being managed by Syukri, students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret.His principle is "notify-report", Syukri makes a simple movement, invites teens to read 25 pages a day on a regular basis. This creative idea is called #BacaDuaLima (#ReadTwentyFive). This movement has now spread in to many regions, even overseas and remain circulated. Syukri believes that everyone deserves to this goodness.

Ricky Elson

Spending 14 years in Japan did not make Ricky forget the homeland, Indonesia. Ricky Elson developed a prototype electric-powered cars in Indonesia, called "Selo". Ricky hopes that children of the nation can develop their potential in their own country without the need to go farabroadto develop the potential. Become a phenomenon against the flow, Ricky remains optimist, even though he should be marginalized.
