TEDxSIT is a brand new experience for the Brattleboro community. It is a local, independently organized event by students from SIT Graduate Institute that strives to re-create the unique experience found at TED, where the world's leading thinkers and doers congregate to share what they are most passionate about. SIT Graduate Institute is uniquely located in Brattleboro, VT, a town known for its commitment to fostering a spirit of inquiry, creativity, collaboration and change.

TEDxSIT is a community-run event; coordinated by students from SIT Graduate Institute in partnership with faculty, alumni, community partners from the Brattleboro and larger Vermont area to be a catalyst for the sharing of creative and profound ideas. Through this spirit of collaboration and exchange ideas, TEDxSIT hopes to spark the imaginations of all members of our community. At its core, the fundamental goal of TEDxSIT is to foster and spread great ideas. We aim to provide a platform where the smartest thinkers, greatest visionaries, and most fascinating members of our community will be inspired and will have the opportunity to inspire others. TEDxSIT is a collective of people who teach each other what they know.

The theme of our event is 'From Ideas to Action'. We seek to involve students, faculty, administration and members of the Brattleboro community and beyond in a thought-provoking experience about the magical, complex and exhilarating process of bringing our ideas to life. It is our hope that by being a part of this experience, you will be inspired by the words and actions of those around you to take a risk, follow your heart and bring a new idea to our community and to the world.
