Theme: Ideas Creating Reality

The theme of our TEDx CambridgeSchoolofBucharest event is "Ideas creating reality" and the team put together an inspiring setting to support and enhance spontaneity, creativity, joy of life, sense of self-value and cooperation.
The main objective of TEDxCambridgeSchoolofBucharest is to promote broad and meaningful education. We believe that youth should benefit from example, from experiences and be inspired to create the new. Therefore, TEDxCambridgeSchoolofBucharest invites you to consider the possibility of collaborating and being one of our guest speakers for April 8, 2016.

Andrei Stefan Rosu

Professional Runner (Record Holder) and Coach

Andrei ROSU, Coach and Sportsperson, President of “CIA Coaching in Alergare” Association Mr Rosu is the first romanian to have finished the crossing of the Strait of Dover, the North Pole Marathon (2010). In 2012 Mr Andrei Rosu was awarded a Guinness Book of World Records spot for having run one marathon and one ultramarathon on each continent over a period of one year and 217 days: Australian Outback Marathon, Eurasia Marathon, Maraton Costa del Pacifico, Antarctic Ice Marathon, Sahara Marathon, Everest Marathon, Mayor’s Marathon Alaska si Antarctica Ice 100k, Eco- Trail de Paris, Dead Sea Ultra 50km, Two Oceans Mutual Ultra 56km, Creemore Vertical Challenge 50km, Bedrock50 New Zealand, Super-Maratona Ciudade do Rio Grande. Eric BARTHA Jr., Secretary General, THE HOUSE OF DANUBE YOUTH Romania MrBartha is responsible for coordinating national activity for the House of Danube Youth in organising and implementing a national infrastructure of Youth Houses for counseling, networking and connecting young people with entrepreneurs in Romania. This project started with the idea of organising a youth branch of the already existing European community House of Danube, started by Romania and Austria in 2010. Mr. Eric Bartha is an undergraduate student of LyceeFrancais de Bucarest “Anna de Noailles”, is currently preparing for his Baccalaureate national examinations. Mugur POP, President Asociatia “Descopera Natura” “Descopera Natura” aims at developing and supporting equestrian tourism as an ecotouristic alternative for the protected natural and communitarian protected areas in Romania. The activity covers areas such as Muntii Macinului, Muntii Apuseni, Muntii Rodnei and Muntii Calimani, as there is already a small infrastructure network that could be used and developed. Near Cluj-Napoca Mr Pop put together a center where tourists can join equestrian tours in the wilderness and autistic children can benefit from alternative therapy with the help of horses. Mr Mugur Pop is fond of nature and honest beings of any sort. Vlad BUSCA, Producer at UNIVERSAL MUSIC ROMANIA Mr Busca has been a musician since early 1990 and has been passionate about music his whole life. He has a prominent career and is a very dedicated professional. Universal Music Group is the global music leader, with wholly owned operations in 60 territories. Its businesses also include Universal Music Publishing Group, one of the industry's premier music publishing operations worldwide. Mr Busca agreed to become a speaker for TEDxCambridgeSchoolofBucharest 2016 and share with us part of the aftermath experiences following the tragic events from “Colectiv” Club in November 2015 in Bucharest. As one of the people who were present there, who participated and went through the difficult experience of trying to understand such reality, Mr Vlad Busca will speak to all of us about how humans find resources to redefine their lives when confronted with extreme life-threatening experiences.
