(Raymond) Jungmin Kil

High School Student

Raymond (Jungmin) Kil is currently a senior in Korea International School Jeju. Raymond has started playing drums since he was ten years old, by entering a school orchestra as an orchestral percussionist. After expanding his instrument to drum set, he is still maintaining drumming as a major part of his life. He has participated in many performances, such as the musical Zombie Prom.

Darren Southcott

Darren Southcott has lived on Jeju for a total of seven years and his interests lie in cultural change, over-development and environmental policy on the island. Darren came to know these issues intimately during his three years as editor-in-chief of The Jeju Weekly, Jeju’s only English-language newspaper. He is currently undertaking PhD research into natural resource management while lecturing at Jeju National University of Education and working with local community NGOs.

국민대 고현숙 교수는 한국의 대표적인 경영자코치로서, 삼성전자, 현대자동차, 포스코, SK텔레콤, IBM, 듀폰, 두산인프라코어, 화이자제약 등의 기업 CEO 및 임원들을 코칭해 왔으며, 강의와 저술 등 다양한 경로를 통해 리더십 개발과 조직 변화를 지원해왔다. 또한 ‘코치의 코치’로서 지금까지 500여 명의 전문코치를 양성했고, 국제코치연맹의 ACTP인증 프로그램을 개발하여 가르치고 있다. 서울대 소비자학과를 졸업하고 헬싱키경제대학에서 MBA를, 서울과학종합대학원에서 경영학박사학위를 받았다. 한국리더십센터 사장을 역임했으며, 코칭경영원 대표 코치다. 저서 "유쾌하게 자극하라" "티칭하지 말고 코칭하라" 역서 "여자에게 일이란 무엇인가?" 등이 있다.

Joey Rositano

Joey Rositano is a documentarian and artist from Nashville, Tennessee. Since day one of his arrival on Jeju Island eleven years ago, he has been exploring, mixing it up with locals, and learning loads about island culture which is distinct from that of mainland South Korea. When it comes to documentary filmmaking his main subject has been Jeju Island’s shamanic shrines and the village myths associated with these holy places. By listening to audio files of his interviews, he learned to understand Jeju-eo (the island’s native language), which aided him in his endeavor to document shrine culture over four years. This work brought him into intimate contact with the island’s famed abalone divers, who along with elderly farmers and village shamans became allies in his work. His documentary Spirits: The Story of Jeju Island’s Shamanic Shrines will be released in winter of 2017.

Kibok Baik 백기복

Business Leadership

국민대학교 경영대학 교수이자 생활협동조합이사장인 백기복 교수는 수십년째 리더십을 연구해온 리더십분야의 전문가이다. 제주대학교 영어교육과 학사를 졸업하고 뉴욕주립대학교 버펄로캠퍼스에서 MBA를 받고 휴스턴대학교에서 경영학 박사학위를 받았다. 한국윤리경영학회 회장, 한국인사조직학회장, 대한리더십학회장, 한미경영학자협의회 의장, 국민대 교수회장를 역임하였다. 저서로는 「미래형리더의 조건」과「대왕세종」 등 다수가 있으며 주요 논문으로는 「이슈리더십이론과 한국형리더십이론 창안」 과 「한국경영학계리더십연구 30년: 문헌검증 및 비판」 등이 있다.

Mijeong Kim 김미정

Human Resources Development

Learning Designer 김미정 박사는 제주도에서 태어나 세화초, 세화중, 제주여고를 거쳐, 서울에 있는 한양대에서 교육공학 학사, 석사를 하고, 미국 플로리다 주립대학(Florida State University)에서 교수체제설계(Instructional Systems Design) 전공으로 박사학위를 취득하였으며, 한국에 있는 CJ 그룹에서 8년 정도 HRD(Human Resources Development) 전문가로 근무하면서 직원들의 역량개발과 비즈니스 결과향상을 위한 노력하였다. 그 후, 라틴아메리카 도미니카 공화국에서 농촌지역 교육/개발을 위한 활동을 하면서, 성과향상의 HRD에 넘어선 힐링의 HRD 컨셉을 정리하여, 일터에서의 직원들의 역량개발 및 조직의 성과향상, 그리고 개인들이 일터에서 받을 수 있는 심리적 상처를 스스로 치유하며 마음껏 일할 수 있는 있는 방안에 관심을 가지게 되었고, 2009년부터 지금까지 기업교육 전문기관인 멀티캠퍼스에서 재직하면서 그 구체적인 솔루션을 탐색하며 구체화하고 있다. 한편, 그녀는 Learning Designer로서 기업교육에서의 공식적인 경력이외에, 액션러닝 방식을 적용한 BBL(Building a Better Life – Construyendo una mejor vida), 즉 [더 나은 삶 만들기] 프로그램을 설계하고 적용하면서 “살며, 배우며, 리드하며, 성장하는 법”이란 부제로 라틴아메리카의 온두라스 농촌지역의 리더들과 농촌 지역사회 개발을 위한 퍼실리테이터 역할을 4년째 해오고 있다.
