Anthony Scrima

Student
Anthony Scrima is a Posse Scholar from Somerville, MA, in his sophomore year here at Bucknell majoring in education. He is passionate about giving back through working with youth. During high school, Anthony spent every Saturday coaching/mentoring youth through basketball. This past summer he worked with Breakthrough Greater Boston, teaching Physics to 8th-grade students aspiring to go to college. He is also passionate about using his own experiences and observations to engage in intellectual conversation hoping that that ultimately leads to new perspectives.

Carmen Henne-Ochoa

Professor
Carmen first came to Bucknell University as a visiting professor of sociology, anthropology and Latin American studies. She received her Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Chicago. The focus of her research and teaching is social stratification and inequality relating to social class, race, and ethnicity. She loves teaching at Bucknell, where her approach to teaching and learning is dialogic. She incorporates students’ personal narratives and lived experiences in the classroom, as she believes that these are central to their process of knowledge construction and to the quality of their learning experiences. She was recently appointed a Bucknell University Diversity & Inclusion Fellow in the fall of 2015.

Kelly Knox

Associate Professor
Kelly Knox is an associate professor and director of dance at Bucknell University, where she teaches modern dance technique, dance history, conditioning and arts pedagogy. Her creative research addresses a variety of contemporary themes and primarily explores the impact of collaboration on generating meaningful choreography. She has presented her research at the National Dance Education Organization and the Congress on Research for Dance.

Matt Giordano

Student
Matt Giordano is a junior in environmental engineering at Bucknell University. Over the years, Matt has shown a great interest in looking out for the environment and hopes to continue to do so past his graduation. He is determined to return to campus once graduated and stay in contact with the students, like he currently does as a manager of the Student Calling Program. His care for Bucknell, its students, and his friends, all helped him decide to play a more active role in the community.

Michael Johnson-Cramer

Professor/Director of the School of Management
Michael Johnson-Cramer is the Director of the School of Management at Bucknell University. He is also an Associate Professor of Global Strategy and Ethics. In his time as Director of the School of Management, Michael has worked closely with his faculty and staff colleagues to formulate and implement a distinctive interdisciplinary curriculum, partnered closely with the development and admissions functions to achieve significant growth in both admissions applications and alumni giving, and championed the creation of a newly accredited College of Management. His research on stakeholder dialogue and organizational and strategic decision-making has been published in Strategic Organization, the Journal of Business Ethics, the Oxford Handbook of Organizational Decision Making, and other journals and edited volumes.

Muyambi Muyambi

Entrepreneur/Social Activist
Muyambi Muyambi was born in Rukungiri, Uganda but spent most of his childhood traveling the country. Throughout his travels, he experienced how different people lived, but realized the potential in one common tool, the bicycle. Muyambi found that the bicycle provided access to recourses such as clean water, healthcare, and schools. In 2008, while attending Bucknell, Muyambi founded Bicycles Against Poverty, an organization that uses microfinance as a way to distribute bicycles across Uganda. This organization has not only been extremely successful in distributing bikes, but also offers workshops about financial management. Muyambi and his co-founder were recognized by National Geographic as one of their travelers of the year in 2013.

Pete Kadens

Entrepreneur/Social Activist
Pete worked in investment banking prior to founding the world's first outsource sales company and later founded SoCore Energy, serving clients like Target, Walgreens, and JC Penny. He is now writing his first book and moving into the medical marijuana industry. His success has helped fuel his philanthropic efforts in creating employment opportunities for the homeless and incarcerated.
