Theme: Shape the future

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Adnan Maalaoui

Associate professor - Entrepreneurship at Paris School of Business

Adnan Maalaoui dirige la section entrepreneuriat et diversité à l’école PSB (Paris School of Business). Ses recherches sont focalisées sur les problèmes spécifiques liés à l’entrepreneuriat et en particularité ceux liés aux publics désavantagés. Il est responsable de la chaire "Entrepreneurship and sustainable business". Adnan Maalaoui est l’auteur de plus d’une vingtaine d’articles publiés dans des journaux académiques. Il a aussi publié de nombreux livres et articles dans des journaux professionnels ainsi qu’une série de cours en ligne sur l’entrepreneuriat.

Born in Cameroun, he got a “Network and systems” engineer degree from Troyes University of Technology and “Information system security” master degree in 2013. He is an active member of VC4A, an investment plateform for African start-ups and Activspaces, Cameroun’s biggest business incubator.

Darja Dubravcic

Coordinator biomimetic at Ecole Federale Polytechnique de Lausanne

Darja Dubravcic is a molecular biology engineer from Zagreb University and she is holding a doctorate degree in “Interdisciplinary Approaches to Life Science” from the prestigious Centre for Research and Interdisciplinary based in Paris. In charge of the biomimicry department at the famous Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) she got a 120k€ grant from AXA for her studies and projets in the field of biomimicry.
