Schrödinger's cat, a famous thought experiment in Quantum Mechanics, illustrates a scenario in which a cat was locked in a box with a certain amount of radioactive substance. Under such circumstance, the cat had equal possibility to survive since its life or death depended on whether the radioactive atom decayed and emitted radiation or not.Whether it survived or not could only be confirmed when the state was observed in the form of particles after opening the box.

It is just like the city we are living in, Guangzhou.

In the era of mobile Internet, we pay close attention to the changes around us: The orange bikes can be seen everywhere. We pay with NFC. Black Technology and smart device have changed our life.

Yet it seldom occurs to us that how Guangzhou as a city will contribute to these frontier innovations. This city seems to retain its uncertainty, a state of being gracefully detached in its own pace. We taste the spirit and culture of the city, while at the same time, straying away from it, bit by bit, as we are often besieged by our career and life.

This time, we are determined to open the box of Schrödinger's cat, and try to “unveil the uncertainty”, so as to search for the answers to these questions: In what way will the changes of the world make a connection with Guangzhou? How will the native industry, in turn, be brought into contact with the world? Five years later, or maybe in the distant future, what keywords and questions will we embrace and face?
