TEDx platforms are making it possible to hear the contributions of a demographic not widely represented on public fora - African Women. There is diversity and richness in the subjects they broach. In its second year running, TEDxLytteltonWomen joins more than 150 organisers of TEDxWomen events around the world to explore the theme "It's About Time."

The event will be curated by 2015 TEDxLytteltonWomen speakers - Tembisa Gebeda and Thuli Sithole. Under the auspices of TEDxLytteltonWomen licensee Rehema Isa, our adjudicators - Okyerebea Ampofo-Anti, Renate Volpe, and coaches Samali Bosa and Carolyn Williams selected the local speakers on our line up and are working with them to deliver their first ever TEDx Talks. We will be livestreaming one session from the main TEDWomen event titled: "It's about storytime"

"We are not passengers. We are architects of our envisaged reality. We do not always come with answers, sometimes we stimulate the right questions." R. Isa
