Danielle Krysa has a BFA in Fine Arts from The University of Victoria, and a post-grad in graphic design from Sheridan College. She is the writer/curator behind the contemporary art site, The Jealous Curator. Danielle has curated shows from Washington DC to Los Angeles, San Francisco to Vancouver. In 2014 she published two books, both with Chronicle Books, titled “Creative Block” and “Collage”. Her third book, “Your Inner Critic Is A Big Jerk” will be released in October 2016. Danielle has also had the great pleasure of speaking at PIXAR, Creative Mornings, Altitude Summit, and was interviewed for several video segments on oprah.com.

Gemma Else is a grade 12 student, at Brentwood College School. She has grown up surrounded by the staggering beauty of the Cowichan Valley, and spends her time exploring the world through her own art, and the rich art around her. When she’s not painting, you can find Gemma debating current events and issues good-naturedly with her friends.

Hailing from the coastal B.C. town of Campbell River, Liam is now in his second and final year at Brentwood. In his rather eventful 17 years of life, Liam has lived in B.C., Ukraine, Switzerland, and Saudi Arabia. Currently involved in music, dance, theatre, and soccer, while managing a demanding academic load, he firmly believes in a philosophy of well-rounded education and does his best to live it.

Mary-Jo Dionne is an award-winning writer whose work was called "A masterpiece in urban satire that will have you laughing so hard you'll glow," by the Globe and Mail. As a dabbling comedian, she’s performed in Vancouver, Toronto, New York, and LA and was a finalist for Vancouver's Funniest New Female Comedian. Her one-woman show “Glowing: A Reproduction Production” was hailed as a “real crowd pleaser” by the CBC. In print, she has interviewed notable greats like Ellen DeGeneres, Katherine Heigl, and Martha Stewart. She’s now taken her love for the art of the interview to the cyber-waves with the recent launch of “Tea with a Titan”, a weekly podcast during which Mary-Jo has tea with those people who have one thing in common: The quest for greatness despite the hurdles. Last year, Mary-Jo launched the Mary-Jo Dionne Productions Fund, which supports local children living in poverty or fighting critical illness.

Matt arrived on the Planet a month early, on January 19th 1968 in British Columbia, Canada. And he’s been running with a spirit for life and people ever since. Born and raised in India, Narendra came to the United States in 1986 to attend Brown University. After graduating with a degree in Educational Technology, he went to work at Microsoft Corporation where his greatest achievement was a kids’ movie creation product that was a commercial dud but spawned an avid fan group. While at Microsoft, Narendra was lucky enough to meet his wife, Machelle, and receive a stock-option fueled financial windfall allowing him to quit his day job. After an obligatory globe-trotting walkabout, Machelle and Narendra spent the next ten years raising children, renovating houses, and coming to the realization that our system of agriculture is broken, our economic and financial systems are a pyramid scheme, and that, between peak resources and climate change, our children likely face a difficult future. Olamide Oluntabosun

Olamide (Mide) Olatunbosun is an exceptional young mind. He always finishes at/near the top of his class, finishing Grade 10 with 96.5% average. He is also an accomplished athlete, starting on both the Junior Boys Rugby Team and the Provincial Championship winning Junior Boys Basketball Team. Mide can often be found on stage, whether he is performing in the Wind Ensemble or dancing. In all aspects of life, Mide is an extremely hard worker, always striving for greatness.
Paul Collis
English Teacher
Men want to be like him; women want to be with him. These words apply to James Bond, a character sometimes discussed in the classroom of Mr. Collis, a pasty fellow who struggles to lift two volume editions of Dickens novels. Paul teaches English at Brentwood College, where he has revolutionized the dress code and only occasionally forgotten about his lunch duty assignment, for which, again, he is very sorry.

Peter O’Shea was born in LA and grew up in Saskatoon. He received a degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Saskatchewan and a Ph.D. in Plasma Physics from MIT. Peter worked for 15 years in semiconductor design in Vancouver B.C. before returning to fusion energy research 5 years ago at a remarkable B.C. company called General Fusion.

Award-Winning Documentary Producer and Director
Trish Dolman started producing in the mid-1990’s with award-winning short films and documentary television. She founded Screen Siren in Vancouver in 1997, and has carved out a niche in Western Canada as a notable feature film, documentary and television producer. Flower & Garnet, the first feature she produced premiered at TIFF, Berlin and numerous international film festivals and won the Claude Jutra award for best first feature film amongst many other awards. Following this success, she produced the 2006 feature length Gemini nominated musical drama The Score for the CBC and the 2007 television movie Luna: Spirit of the Whale for CTV. She then produced Sook-Yin Lee’s first feature Year of the Carnivore which opened TIFF’s Canada First!
