This year, we have invited five Rice professors who are influential leaders in their respective fields of study. As they share their stories TEDxRiceU can provide a unique environment for student-faculty interaction. Unlike what we usually find in traditional lecture room settings, the presenters will share their dreams, motivations, and goals that drive and sustain their incredible works. Through this event, my hope is that my peers and I will be inspired to pursue creative, if not unconventional, ways to use the valuable education we are gaining through Rice.
