Human life often culminates in much the same way it begins: with vulnerability and the need to constantly adapt to changing conditions in the body. Researchers are beginning to believe this does not always have to be the case. There are constantly new ways being found to prevent or lessen what we have come to believe are the effects of normal aging. With innovations in neurogenesis, it is becoming more possible to envision a future in which we can hold on to memories like the treasures that they are.
With a visiting expert, we will explore our own innermost fears, hopes and preconceived notions about the aging process. We will talk about we want to achieve before the twilight years, and what might remain unfinished. Most of all, we want to talk about the future and what it holds for that most human of processes, growing older.
