Anna Stepanova

Anna Stepanova is an undergraduate student of Molecular Ecosystem Sciences at University of Goettingen. Her interest in internationality and languages began early on in her life; she knows Russian, Japanese, English, and is currently learning German. This, combined with her love of reading and writing led her to work as a freelance translator, a job that she finds challenging and stimulating. When Anna is not busy with studying or translating, she enjoys dancing and playing volleyball.

Pablo Gutiérrez-Marqués
planetary scientist
Pablo is a planetary scientist at Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research. He started writing programs on paper at age 8, two years before he got his first computer, a Sinclair Spectrum, and continued programming ever since. He has participated in two space missions, Rosetta and Dawn, that have jointly discovered five worlds: comet 67P, asteroids Steins, Lutetia and Vesta, and dwarf planet Ceres.
Pablo loves doing public outreach, giving talks to the general audience and in schools. He is an avid science fiction reader. He plays saxophone, practices archery and loves to ride motorbikes.
Vinodh Ilangovan
biomedical scientist
Vinodh Ilangovan is a biomedical scientist studying circadian clocks and sleep using an integrative approach by combining molecular genetics, neural circuits, animal behavior and evolutionary biology. He is an early career research fellow at department of Genes and Behavior, Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Goettingen. He is also Max Planck Open Access Ambassador and strongly advocates for the practice of responsible behaviors in scientific research both by early career and established investigators.
Vinodh enjoys experimenting with science communication through performing arts. He occasionally writes poetry in Tamil. He uses Indian stringed instrument Yaazh Veenai and rhythmic percussion of Parai as therapeutic tools to overcome exhaustion.
