In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

A Communication Professional with close to 17 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Advertising and Brand Management, Marketing, Investor Relations & Financial PR, Research and Events, Bhavna has diverse experience across various industries including Service, Entertainment, IT, FMCG, Automobile, Engineering and now Pharmaceuticals. As Director Communications, Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI), Bhavna is responsible for all communication (internal, external and brand) of OPPI. Working on advocacy programmes and industry representations, her work involves designing and implementation of communication strategies addressed to various stakeholders, including Government, regulatory authorities, the pharma industry and the media. Bhavna is a recipient of the ‘Women In Leadership Award 2016’ for her work on gender diversity in the pharma industry with the OPPI 50 years commemorative publication “The Colour of White”.

Held the coveted appointment of Head Flight Safety for Indian Army at Ministry of Defence in New Delhi from 2005 ‐ 2008. After his retirement, Brig HS Kaura joined KPMG in India as Director National Administration in early 2010. Currently, he holds the position of. Sr Vice President and India Head of Administration and Workspace for KPMG and KGS (KPMG Global services).

Deep Dasgupta is an Indian cricketer who played in 8 Tests and 5 ODIs from 2001 to 2002 as the national wicketkeeper.An aggressive opening batsman, Dasgupta played for Bihar, where he took over as captain following the resignation of Sourav Ganguly, and was the reserve wicketkeeper for East Zone behind the national wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.He joined CBRE in February 2015 as the Head of Strategic Projects and recently featured as an expert commentator for IPL 2016 on Hotstar Cricket Live.

For the last many years, she has been empowering commercial sex workers residing in Budhwar Peth, Pune. Through the services of Haribhau Waghmode Patil Pratishan, the commercial sex workers are regularly provided with health services, condom distribution, referral and linkages to hospitals.

Mayura Davda-Shah

Mayura Davda-Shah has pursued her higher studies in USA - Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Certification in Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Purdue University where she co-invented a mechanism for a wheelchair to help users navigate curbs. She then worked as an engineer at Gulfstream Aerospace - a private jet manufacturing company, where she practiced intrapreneurship in her projects using the cutting-edge 3D printing technology and much more. She later pursued her Masters in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Management at Babson College, USA where she co-founded Facet, an ecosystem bringing fine global artisanal goods, conscious consumers, and some of the world's most creative and skillful makers together. Since her return to India, she is exploring ideas for problem-solving in the Indian market while also working with Precision Foundation to have a social impact through her experience in entrepreneurship and innovation.

A lecturer and copywriter by profession and qualification, Priyanka is a romance writer and spoken word poet. Her love for romance novels goes back almost two decades, when she was gifted her first romance novel for clearing her 10th boards. She’s come a long way since then. She’s published three romance novels with Harlequin-Harper Collins (‘The One That Got Away’ and ‘Served with Love’) and Juggernaut Books (‘Bowled Over’)

Tehseen Poonawala

Tehseen is an entrepreneur columnist and activist involved with the hospitality, fitness and entertainment industry and has also been associated with several initiatives like the Pune Marathon, Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) and the much acclaimed Pune Festival. Tehseen was a Consultant to the Organizing Committee of the 19th Commonwealth Games held in Delhi in 2010 where he rendered his professional services pro-bono. A columnist with several leading newspapers and portals , Tehseen is leading the movement in the country against mob violence both through the Supreme Court and his draft law MaSuKa or Manav Suraksha Kanoon . Tehseen is in the process of completing his first book which he hopes to release early next year

Yuvraj Walmiki is an Indian professional field hockey player from Maharashtra. He was a member of the Indian team that won the 2011 Asian Champions Trophy. He also played world cup in 2014, in Holland, (Hague) and he is the only Indian Player to have played German Hockey League for 4 years continuously. Yuvraj is the first hockey player to have participated in (Fear Factor) Khatron KeKhiladi season 7. He is the brand ambassador of Do Good Sports (NGO) and the First Indian Brand Ambassador for the Australian brand Ritual.
