TEDxGCT was first hosted in 2013 for the GCT community. Since then TEDxGCT has become one of the leading platform and pipeline for the propagation of ideas, creativity, innovation and culture of the community to the rest of the world. The Government College of Technology brings together interesting and influencing people as well as great scholars to share their bright ideas and experiences in an extraordinary TED style creating the magic called TEDxGCT.

Ashish Vidhyarthi

Ashish Vidhyarthi is a famous commercial actor from Thallaseri, Kerala. Being raised in a family of arts, he started his career in 90s and grew up to be a recognized star actor after winning the National Award for the movie, Drohkaal. He has acted in more than 40 movies in South India and he is quite famous for his comic and villain roles. Though he is branded as the #1 villian of south Indian movies, he’s a very positive person in real life.

Dhivya Priya N

Dhivya Priya hailing from Tiruchirapalli is pursuing M.E at GCT, Coimbatore. Being an engineering student she never got tired of her typical chores and she emphasizes engineering as an art. She is not joking. For her engineering is as beautiful as a graffiti or a wall hanging and engineering is not just a degree. She calls herself an 'engineering artist' and would like to justify the same.

We think that engineering deals with big machines and forget that science starts from spokes of wheel. This idea will focus on how science transforms the lives of normal people around us using engineering techniques. To sophisticate them, Dinesh an engineering graduate from electrical stream currently working in a startup came up with the idea of creating a handloom fan that can work without electricity specially for weavers.

Gopi Nair

Stardom always doesn't have to be out shown , it can be out spoken too. Gopi Nair , a voice actor for about 15 years has been giving life through his voice to thousands of actors on screen.He has been working for Star Vijay television network in Mahabharatham series. Moreover he has dubbed so many famous series and movies which includes Man vs wild.

JAFFER SADIQ

Jaffer Sadiq came to limelight through Ungalil Yar Adutha Prabhudeva,a popular dance show of Vijay TV, a popular channel in Tamilnadu,India. He is one of the best dancers and is loved by a lot of people. He has performed in over 500 shows.

LALITHKUMAR NATARAJAN

He burns with the passion of ensuring due rights to the differently abled people.Lalit who hails from Tirupur runs an NGO called "Love and Acceptance"completely dedicated for the welfare of differently abled people.His recent accomplishment has left us in awe-Embarking on a 4200 km bike journey from Kanyakumari to Khardung La.

Mallika Badrinath

Mallika Badrinath is a famous culinary expert and cook book writer from Chennai, Tamilnadu. She has come up with a collection of her own recipes. Her simple recipes turns out into celebrated dishes in everyone’s kitchen. She has written so many cook books in various languages . She also appears in many regional channels of South India as a television host. One of the famous shows is her ‘Arusuvai neram’ in Jaya TV. Her prospective growth is only due to her positive energy accompanied by her eternal enthusiasm.

Murali Dharan R

After working as a software engineer with HCL technologies post-graduation for a year, he decided to venture into the field of business and came up with his startup Connect Training solutions Pvt Ltd. He believes that if you desperately want to begin something, all the resources needed for it is around you and you must not make excuses rather make improvements.

PRASHANTH RANGASWAMY

A man hailing from Avinashi who happened to realise that career has to offer you the apt space and freedom to explore. He is a movie critic owning more than 10 lakh followers on YouTube. Versatile is one word that can best describe him, for he is an expertise in technical support, article writing, virtual assistance etc.

Sudha Pillai

Hailing from God's own country, Sudha Pillai is a multi faceted person. She is an avid traveller, photographer and artist. She is a prolific writer and has worked in mainstream journalism for 24 years.

Suresh D

Graduated as a mechanical Engineer from IIT Madras in 1967 and pursued PG in Business Management from IIM Ahmedabad in 1970. Having over 50 years of work experience starting as a Marketing Executive, he then became a CEO and MD of a group. He also ventured as a serial entrepreneur in manufacturing followed by working in the telecommunication industry, thus reaching the zenith of experience. He believes that green initiatives in a household is the need of the hour and the awareness is increasing around.
