She was a part of the Maharashtra Times contest – Shravan Queen & was a finalist in 2010, during which she was noted as a model and actress. Prior to that, she was working as an air hostess with Kingfisher Airlines for 4 years.
In 2016, she was seen in Devyani on Star Pravah and later in the role of Monika in Khulta kali Khulena on Zee Marathi.
One of her most popular roles till date was as Mukta in the serial Star Pravah’s Lagori Maitri Returns, was widely applauded by the audience.
She was part of projects like CID as lead & the protagonist of the web series Moving Out, The first ever Marathi web series.
She has also launched a fashion brand that sells sarees titled ‘Tejadnya’ with fellow actress Tejaswini Pandit in 2015.

Dr. Komal Rao is a Jeet Kune Do Instructor and one of the few women mixed martial arts competitors
from India. She is also one of the few women in the world to have fought a male in a Pro MMA event.
She began her study of Jeet Kune Do under Seema Rao and Deepak Rao, pioneer of JKD in India and has
certified Full Instructor under them. She was certified as Full Instructor by Richard Bustillo, well known
original student of Bruce Lee, making her one of the handful women Instructors in the world. She is a
Fifth degree Blackbelt under UCCA organization.
