In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dr. Philip T. Ninan

Dr. Philip T. Ninan, a graduate of Christian Medical College, Vellore, is the Founder and Chairman, eMindScience and a former Affiliate Professor of Psychiatry and behavioural medicine at the Brody School of medicine, East Carolina University. Distinguished life fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Psychiatrist of the year award from the Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association, author of over a hundred peer reviewed journal articles on various topics such as anxiety and mood diorders, schizophrenia etc. are some of the milestones he has achieved.

Dr. V. Mohan

Dr. V Mohan is a well renowned diabetologist who has worked in this field for over 30 years now. He is the chairman at Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre and also the Director of the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation in Chennai. Along with publishing 1050 research papers on diabetes, he has also reviewed many articles on diabetes and endocrinology. For his diligent efforts in this field, he was honoured with over 130 awards including Padma Shri and Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Diabetes Care.

Kavita Gupta

Presenting Kavita Gupta, Co-Founder, Win Over Cancer and the designer of the skin friendly, medically approved and cost effective prosthetic bras for cancer survivors. Win Over Cancer was founded by Kavita Gupta and her husband Arun, who himself was fighting against cancer. Win over cancer aims to provide emotional support to cancer patients, o increase awareness about cancer and to reduce the cost of treatment of cancer. Also it aims to provide sustainable earning opportunities for cancer survivors and the relatives of deceased patients.

Parveen Singhal is the third co-founder & COO of Wittyfeed. He takes care of Wittyfeed's social media, content, and traffic acquisition. WittyFeed is an Internet media and viral content company based in Indore, India. It is known as the YouTube of the content industry. Zara Sheikha

Zara Sheikha is the first ever transgender person in the state of Kerala to acquire a job in a multi-national company. She is a Senior HR Associate at UST Global Campus. After receiving a B.Sc in Botany from Kerala University, Zara took up several jobs in Chennai and Abu Dhabi at the Human Resource departments of different companies. She also worked as a Quality Analyst with Sutherland Global Services in Chennai. She actually contributed to various pro-transgender organizations before deciding to live her life completely as a transgender.
