Alastair Clarke

Alastair Clarke manages Clarke Immigration Law, a boutique law firm. He and his staff assist with all types of immigration and refugee cases; they currently have more than 250 open files. Based on over 30 years of combined experience, the staff guide each and every client, including individuals, families and businesses, through the complex immigration system, including complex humanitarian and compassionate applications. The firm is based on experience, value and results.

Amy Krahn

Amy Krahn was raised on an acreage in rural Manitoba. Ever since she realized that one had to work for a living, she started planning her entry into the crafts market, creating lines of products from a young age. Amy has always had an active imagination and taken great pleasure in creative pursuits.

Carolyn Klassen

Carolyn O. Klassen has completed a Master of Arts degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counselling in Fresno, California. She also has a degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Manitoba.

David Falk

David Falk (MA C.Med) has been a Partner in the firm Facilitated Solutions since 2003. He is a seasoned consultant and conflict management specialist who has been assisting organizations prevent, manage and resolve conflicts since 1990. David has worked in a variety of settings as a mediator, trainer, facilitator, academic, and workplace consultant, assessing and intervening in conflict situations and providing consultation to many organizations throughout Canada. He has served on the faculty of Menno Simons College at the University of Winnipeg and helped to develop its conflict resolution studies program. David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Masters degree in Conflict Resolution Studies, and is a Charter Mediator (CMed) with the ADR Institute of Canada.

Diane Roussin

Diane Roussin is a passionate community leader committed to the pursuit of pimadaziwin (the good life) for all families and children. Her in-depth knowledge of Indigenous issues and solutions flow directly from her strong sense of identity and worldview. She is a proud member of Skownan First Nation and currently lives in Winnipeg.

Gord Parke

Gord Parke is a technology entrepreneur from Winnipeg, Manitoba. After graduating from Engineering Science at the University of Toronto in 2009, he immediately partnered with a few former classmates and jumped into the nascent iPhone app development world.

Jocelynn Johnson

Jocelynn Johnson, is a Geospatial Analyst for the Government of Manitoba. She is a graduate of both Red River College and the University of Manitoba (BSc), and is currently pursuing a third degree. While part of an average Winnipeg family, at age seven Jocelynn went from having perfect hearing to being completely Deaf overnight from meningitis. She became the first child in Manitoba to receive a Cochlear Implant. In her twenties, she had to have it removed after a medical incident, effectively losing her hearing for a second time. As a result, she has gone between existing in the hearing world, the Deaf world, and the grey area in-between. Since receiving her Hearing Ear Service Dog nearly nine years ago, she has recognized a gap in education about service animals, and has strived to narrow this gap by educating formally or informally whenever possible. Jocelynn is the co-chair and founder of the Civil Servants with Abilities Network and a founder of the Deaf Professionals Network. She is also President of the Manitoba GIS Users Group.

John Janzen

John Janzen was the lonely farmboy who would sit on the edge of the lake singing sad songs about what might be over the next hill. This led him to living and working in Winnipeg’s North End where he was involved in community work and inner city development, mostly as a teacher, and maybe a little bit as a white saviour. This, of course, ended in disaster which led to a long exile in Japan, where he wandered for a time bitter and disillusioned, seeking pleasure and the very best sushi.

John Luxford

John Luxford is a self-taught software developer, musician, and entrepreneur who is passionate about technology as a means of social change. After moving to Winnipeg from Ontario in 1999, he worked in the Winnipeg Free Press’ web department, where he wrote an online auction app that ran on every major newspaper in Canada before being bought out. Unfortunately the buyout happened when John was on vacation, and he came back to find himself out of a job. Instead of finding another 9-5, John started Simian Systems, an open source software company that he ran from 2001-2011, working with clients such as Princeton and Disney.

Miyoung Suh

Dr. Miyoung Suh is Associate Professor in the Department of Food and Human Nutritional Sciences at the University of Manitoba, and trained as a Clinical Dietitian in the areas of gastroenterology, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. She is also Principle Investigator for the Division of Neurodegenerative Disorders (DND) & Canadian Centre for Agri-Food Research in Health and Medicine (CCARM), St. Boniface Hospital Albrechtsen Research Centre. She was the first woman to be named Scientist of the Year in 2017 by the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST) for her research in lipids and retina photoreceptors.

Rehman Abdulrehman

Dr. Rehman Y. Abdulrehman, Ph.D., C. Psych. is a consulting and clinical psychologist with LeadWithDiversity.com and is the founder and director of Clinic Psychology Manitoba. He is an assistant professor at the University of Manitoba, and a visiting professor at the State University of Zanzibar and Zanzibar University.

Sparsh Agrawal

Sparsh Agrawal is a grade 9 student. He is an innovator, debater, scientist, mathematician and a hockey fan. When he was in the sixth grade he developed his first iPhone app called “The Mind Reader”, and he’s always had a love for technology. Sparsh has always been interested in using this interest to find solutions for real world problems, and that has led to many prize-winning science fair projects. Over the last two years, Sparsh has combined his passions for finance and technology in his research. His latest work focused on the applicability of bio-inspired computing in financial portfolio optimization.

Tracey Bone

Dr. Tracey Bone, MSW, Ph.D., RSW is a passionate educator, researcher, mentor and advocate. An Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Manitoba, she is creative and dedicated to providing an optimal experience for both her students and research participants. A Registered Social Worker (RSW), Tracey is committed to enhancing and expanding her own skills and knowledge such that she can engage in a more informed way with others. She has taught, and conducted research locally, as well as internationally. An invited member of a four-year sponsored project, she developed curriculum for a social work course in community mental health, and taught that course in two universities: one in Stavropol, Russia and the second in Omsk, Siberia.

Vicki Olatundun

Vicki Olatundun is a persuasive, high-octane, powerful, passionate motivational speaker. She is the author of Unleash Your Crazy to Win, a touching story of her personal struggle and how she turned that into an opportunity to obtain business success. She is a former Attorney turned Social Justice Advocate, known for her visionary abilities as a Non-profit Strategist and leader while making a sustainable difference to Canadians over the last 15 years.
