Alexander Mackenzie, Pauline Te Kolsté and Charlotte Caro are three students from EEB3. All three of them do sports on a high level next to their already busy study schedule. Alexander and Pauline play basketball and Charlotte plays volleyball. In their TEDx talk they will talk about how sports influences their life and health, how they combine their passion with their studies and how staying healthy is very important to them.

Actress and Researcher
Danae Theodoridou is a performer, theatre maker and researcher based in Brussels. She completed her PhD on theatre making and dramaturgy at Roehampton University in London (2013). The last four years, her research focuses on the notion of social imaginaries and the way art can contribute to the emergence of social and political alternatives. She works as a lecturer in various university departments and art conservatoires of theatre and dance in Europe, curates practice-led research projects and presents and publishes her work internationally. She has been the co-creator of Dramaturgy at Work (2013-2016) and the co-author of The Practice of Dramaturgy: Working on Actions in Performance (Valiz, 2017).
Flore Santucci
Student
Flore was born in 1997 in Brussels, Belgium. Apart from studying, Flore plays chess, draws, sings and she does photography in her free time.
She is very active at school as well, her design was chosen for the school's jumper and she also wrote a play for her theater lesson. Flore hopes to study art and theater in France and follow a creative career.
George Kambouroglou
IT Scientist
George Kambouroglou has an extensive résumé: two degrees in physics, one in industrial engineering and yet another one in business information management. He has worked as a Systems Administrator in the USA for several years and in 2009 he moved back to Belgium. He now mainly focuses on IT research management in the European Commission.
Journalist
Jean Quatremer is a French journalist specialised in European issues. He has worked for the French daily Libération since 1984, but he is also the author of several books on European Union policy.
Jean Quatremer is a supporter of the European political project but has always understood his role as a journalist to provide “all the news that is fit to print”, i.e. including when it came to decide whether to publish information that led to the resignation of the Santer Commission in 1999.
Katarína Hricová
Slovak Language Teacher
Katarína Hricová is a Slovak language teacher who lives in Brussels, Belgium. She has been teaching the beautiful Slovak language for more than 20 years in both Brussels and her native Slovakia.
Markus Radhuber
Music Teacher and Secondary School Director
Markus was born in Austria, where he finished university. He then emigrated to America, and now he lives in Brussels and is the Deputy Director of a European School.
Vice President of the European Commission, responsible for the Energy Union
Šefčovič. Mr Šefčovič did pretty much everything possible in politics: from being Czechoslovakia's ambassador to Zimbabwe (1991-1992), Canada (1992) Israel (1999), to being the European Commissioner for Education (2009-2010). Now, he is the Vice President of the European Commission, responsible for the Energy Union.
Musician and Music Teacher
Panos Gourgiotis is a music lover, songwriter, singer and music teacher. He also studied Drama and Τheatre arts, focusing in Acting and Directing. Along with his solo discography, he is also the frontman of Brussels-based band Pocket in Red. He has composed music for theatre and cinema. He is also the president of Cultural NPO CliqueArt.
