How does "outcomes" sound like a word? The power of words is not in their superficial sense but in meanings that are not visible. Each word encompasses knowledge and strength. Every person understands this knowledge differently according to their experiences. We all have the power to create our own unique path as long as we believe in ourselves, our possibilities and our limits. Only this way, we will be truly free, able to combine things that we already know with things that we like, ready to new paths of innovation and creativity. Simple thoughts to complex calculations and a lot of work are the secrets behind the success of people who will talk to us about their own outcomes. So what's your Outcome?

Antonis Halkias

He was born in Olympus of Karpathos, he was born in 1956. He studied scenography at the Stavrakos School, with teacher Tasos Zografos and Petros Kapouralis. He has written more than 100 plays, musical programs and operas. In Cinema he has been honored with a stage design at the Thessaloniki Film Festival with the film 'Karavan Serai'. He has designed many TV series among them and MEGA 'The Island' last production. He had the technical supervision of the ceremony of the Ministry of Culture on the Acropolis 'millennium 2000'. Since 1998 he has served as the Technical Director of the National Opera and resigned in the summer of 2006 disagreeing and denouncing the administration for "architectural" violations-illegalities at the Olympia Theater. He managed architecturally 7 central music scenes in Athens and he is a volunteer scholar of the reconstruction of the National Theater of Rhodes. He teaches scenography in a dramatic school. He fights to preserve the architecture and the intangible heritage of his place!

Assistant Professor, MSc, AUTh, in the subject: Music therapy in special education. Musical psychotherapist PhD, MA-CMT. With the deep conviction that all people can learn music, regardless of 'talent' or professional career, Dora Psalopoulou-Kaminis, from her teen years, has begun to explore and create person-centered approaches to music teaching with particularly positive results in psychosomatic development of the student. Ten years later she discovered music therapy and went on to postgraduate studies at the New York University in New York and later on a doctoral dissertation titled "Musical creative expression as a therapeutic tool for children with emotional disturbances" (AUTH). Since 1992 she has begun her pioneering work to create and establish the profession of music therapy in our country, which has been appreciated and honored by the international community with a relevant publication in the first volume of the electronic book The Life of Music Therapists. Profiles in Creativity (2017, Barcelona Publishers). In collaboration with the New York University Graduate Program and the Music College of Thessaloniki, she has been conducting educational programs for Music Therapy, postgraduate, with international recognition and promotion (1996-2015) in Thessaloniki and Athens. Within the framework of the program, she has established long-term scientific collaborations with public and private institutions for the care of people with disabilities, where she has contributed substantially to the creation of music therapy establishments and to the creation of jobs for music therapists. She is a scientific associate of the adolescent unit of the Third Psychiatric Clinic of AHEPA and the "Therapeutics of Chronic Diseases" in Trikala. Since 2011 she is a member of the Faculty of Music Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She also teaches graduate programs at the Universities of Thessaly, Nicosia, TEI of Larissa, as well as in the only graduate program of Music Therapy of the University of Macedonia. It supervises practitioners and trainee music therapists as well as verbal psychotherapists and psychoanalysts. She is a founding member of the Hellenic Association for Music Education (EYME) and the Hellenic Association of Qualified, Graduate Professional Music therapists (ESAME, SPEM). She is a professional member of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), in which she has the title of Certified Music Therapist (CMT). She is a regular member of the Freud Company, where she has completed her psychoanalysis training. She participates as a speaker at international conferences and her research fields are related to music therapy for people with disabilities, musicians, music therapy education, social music therapy, music therapy in medicine and music pedagogy. Efstathios Drakos

It was in the Computer Engineering and Informatics department where the members of the band Minor Project met each other, and started being musically active. A specific starting point may lead to thousands of different routes. In the case of Minor Project, the starting point was the release of their album “In Colors”, recorded entirely in NoiseBox Studio in Patras, during their studies. Their routes are many and are almost always travelled with the noble coexistence and participation of their favourite friends and sometimes personal music heroes. Stathis Drakos, along with 2 of the best Minor Project members (Alexandros Baltas & Georgios Kolokythas) will be with us at TEDxTechnicalUniversityofCrete, in order to present us with “Thavmata”.

Eftihis Androulakis

Eftychios Androulakis was born in Chania, Crete and studied Agricultural Technician at TEI of Heraklion. From 2012 he decided to deal with the family estates and to extract olive oil of the highest nutritional value ... something like a medicine (like the name he gave, PAMAKO, the name from Linear II and the ideograms for the medicine), had been described as kouzoulos, that means, very crazy in Crete as he had decided to go olive oil production one, two and three stages of improvement below ... And all these from an endemic Cretan variety, the tsounati that was forgotten by time and people. The creator of PAMAKO, though from a child, went with his father to the family estates, to the olive trees in the rocky mountainous area Selinou of Chania, Crete, next to Ancient Elyro. The olive trees are located at an altitude of 500 to 800 meters and some of them are up to 1,300 years old! Through these trees, it has brought back the variety of tsounati to the surface, trees aged 100 years and over and height from 10 to 18 meters! Trees with history, with knowledge not transported 4-5 generations back.

Foteini Agrafioti

Dr. Agrafioti is the Chief Science Officer at RBC and Head of Borealis AI, RBC’s Research Institute in Artificial Intelligence. She is responsible for the bank’s intellectual property portfolio in the fields of AI and machine learning. Prior to joining RBC, Foteini was the CIO at Architech, an enterprise software company, where she led Architech Labs. She also founded and served as CTO at Nymi, a biometrics security company and maker of the Nymi wristband. Foteini is an inventor of HeartID, the first biometric technology to authenticate users based on their unique cardiac rhythms. Her work in this area earned her the “Inventor of the Year” award in 2012 by the University of Toronto, where she received her PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In addition to her leadership roles, she is a TED speaker and serves on the editorial review boards of several scientific journals. Foteini was named one of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2017.

G. Nika

Georgia Nika is a special education music therapist and music therapist MA, lives and works in Larissa, where she is the co-director of the "To Logotypo" special treatment center. From the earliest years of her work in Music, she realized that Music could very well be a means of creating, expressing, communicating, and even treating even if verbal communication is non-existent! Her first contact with Musical Therapy took place in the UK under the supervision of Dr Helen Odell-Miller OBE, while attending a training program at the Nordoff-Robbins Musical Center in London. She then completed a postgraduate course in Musicology from the Thessaloniki College of Music in collaboration with the University of New York. Proceed to Postgraduate Studies in Mental Health in TEI Thessaly, while in 2018 she graduated from the Masters Program of the University of Macedonia regarding the direction of Musical Therapy, under the supervision of Dr. Dora Psalopoulou. She participates actively in various programs while she is mainly active in the field of Neurological Rehabilitation of patients with injured or infected marrow through Musical Therapy.

Iris Athanasiadi

Iris is an architect and interdisciplinary performer with versatile dancing skills and professional music training. Since 2015 she has been conducting research regarding kinesthetic interpretation of artistic ideas in the context of Architectural design and Choreography. She has worked as a dance instructor and choreographer in various dance schools and participated in numerous dance technique and choreographic workshops. Her work in research, choreography and performance has been showcased in Sympraxis – Dance/ Music/ Architecture, 2nd Art & Science Dance Congress and 8th Athens Video Dance Project. As a researcher and dancer/choreographer she is particularly interested in the relationship between space and body in motion as well as their structural elements in the context of ‘synthesis’ (composition).

Konstantinos Vagenas

He is 22 years old, he was born in Ioannina and grew up in Igoumenitsa. He is a student in his 4th year at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Xanthi, Marketing Team Leader at the Democritus Racing Team (DRT), the university's team for the construction of the car for the FSAE international competition , and ex athlete of the National Rowing Team of Greece . Through his personal history, he will show us that despite the things he was forced to do and the things he wanted, he managed to find himself and carve out his own course. "I'm here to learn a lot about me, with the failure I could not accept and plan the next step for my life but also the things I “had” to do without trying to doubt and define what I will do with the responsibility and the strength of myself as an independent and autonomous unit. The route is long and full of difficulties, the result is the redemption of yourself." In his athlete’s career starting from the age of 12, he has numerous achievements including a 19th and 24th place in the world ranking as a junior athlete after competing at the World Rowing Junior Championships ,6 medals at Balkan Championships and is a 4-time Hellenic Champion in his sport. Through his races and his experience on sports he took lessons that shaped his character and absorbed all the values and morals sportsmanship can teach someone.

Kyriaki Sidiropoulou

Kyriaki Sidiropoulou is an Assistant Professor of Neurophysiology at the Dept of Biology, University of Crete and collaborating researcher at IMBB-FORTH. She teaches Animal physiology and Neurobiology to undergraduate biology students and neurophysiology to graduate students. She is the head of the Neurophysiology and Behaviour Laboratory (www.sidiropouloulab.com). Her research team investigates the cellular mechanisms of cognitive functions, in particular, working memory and long-term memory, in wild-type animals as well as in animal models of neuropsychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia. The long-term goal of the Neurophysiology and Behaviour Laboratory is to identify behavioural or electrophysiological measures that can predict the emergence of neuropsychiatric disorders and to develop preventive therapeutic approaches.

Maria Karekla

Dr. Maria Karekla holds a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY with a specialisation in Anxiety Disorders and Health Psychology. Currently holds the position of Assistant Professor for Clinical Psychology at the University of Cyprus and she is responsible for the ACTHealthy lab: Laboratory of Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Medicine, while she is a key member in the development of the doctoral level clinical psychology program. She actively and systematically participates in psychological research projects that have received awards by (among others) the European council and Pompidou’s group, and the Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy. Her research focuses on areas of health promotion and the investigation of individual difference factors (especially experiential avoidance) as they relate to the development and maintenance of various forms of psychopathology (especially anxiety disorders and health related problems). She is a member of the clinical psychology and school psychology program development committees at the University of Cyprus. Maria is currently a member of the European Awarding Committee for the specialization of psychotherapy of EFPA and has served as a liaison of the Cyprus Psychologists Association to numerous subcommittees and task forces of EFPA. A number of her research projects have received local, EU and other funding. Dr. Karekla’s “ACTHealthy: Anxiety disorders and Health Psychology” research laboratory has cooperated with other institutions, business and bodies both in Cyprus and abroad on numerous project.

Pavlos Kastanas

He studied Physics at the University of Athens and has a Master in Astrophysics from Queen Mary, University of London, where he graduated. He has been involved with education in private tertiary education as a lecturer at Derby University, teaching undergraduate science courses (Physics, Mathematics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics) as well as secondary education as a Physics and Chemistry professor. He was a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of London, and for his educational work he was awarded the "Academic Staff Recognition and Excellence Award" in 2015 by Mediterranean College. He has created the "Astronio" channel to bring astronomy and the science closer to the Greek public. As he states, "The scientific discoveries of recent years are particularly impressive and have radically changed the way we see the world. However, I am particularly concerned that a huge part of both the Greek and the global public are completely ignorant of the new brilliant world that is revealed to our eyes." His goal is using his channel to put a small brick into the great building of science communication and allow more people to become acquainted with the beauty of the science.

Sotiris Ntzoufras

Sotiris Ntzoufras is an Architect with a degree in Architectural Engineering from the Technical University of Crete (TUC). Since 2013, he is a researcher at the Transformable Intelligent Environments Laboratory (TUC TIE Lab), through which he has worked on a variety of research projects in Greece as well as abroad. His areas of activity in the Lab focus on robotic architecture, transformable intelligent environments, automation systems, design methods and digital design tools in virtual reality environments. He has contributed in 8 publications in scientific conferences and magazines. Following his graduate thesis in the field of ‘Robot swarms in architectural construction and design and the creation of a digital-real communication platform’, he continues to develop methods that can be applied both in cultural spaces and in extreme environments. Moreover, he is building 6-axis robotic arms as a synthetic tool for architects, through virtual reality. At the same time, he is key staff at the Maker Space laboratory, created within the framework of the "Designed for Better Learning" program by the City of Athens, implemented by TUC TIE Lab with the coordination of Athens Partnership and the exclusive donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. During his undergraduate studies he worked as a teaching assistant in the courses ‘Parametric Design’ and ‘Digital Technologies in Design’. For his studies at the Technical University of Crete he received a scholarship for excellent performance.

Thanasis Vratimos

Thanasis Vratimos is the co-founder and developer of GIVMED, a nonprofit organization that aims to give people direct access to all the medicine they need. With his team, by making use of technology, they make medicine donation easy for everyone, highlighting the need for a society with social solidarity. He experienced the value of offer as a volunteer and then as a manager of the Job Fair Athens, with the aim of combating youth unemployment. Thanasis has worked at Google, Doctoranytime and in February 2016 graduated from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the NTUA. He is interested in social developments that serve as a reason for reading books, attending cultural events, chatting with friends, and dreaming of an anthropocentric society.
