ALEXANDRA WIEGEROVA
My name is Alexandra Wiegerova. I am 17 years old and I come from Bratislava, Slovakia. Something that many people do find out when they get to know me is that I have an anxiety and panic disorder. That is something that I don’t keep as a secret, the topic of my TEDx talk being about my life with anxiety. For years I wanted to have a platform where I could talk about this issue, not only to inform, but also to educate, bring people to understand, and it also has been a coping mechanism for me to talk about it. In the past I have had chances that I took to talk about anxiety, such as on assemblies, but TEDx seems like the platform that will bring this issue to a bigger light and where I will hopefully be closer to giving people the understanding they need about anxiety, from someone experiencing it first hand on a daily basis, and to possibly give some hope to people who struggle themselves, and need someone that understands them to speak up.

Darius-Andrei Vicovan is 13 years old and has been fascinated by space from a very young age. Over the years, his dream jobs have been to do with the Cosmos, starting with Astronomer, and now Rocket Scientist. He is currently working on plans for an imaginary space probe that would map the atmosphere of Venus to determine the feasibility of proposed floating Venusian Habitats.
Jan Kerekes
Jan Kerekes comes from Eastern Slovakia, he is also a Canadian, but currently operates mostly in Asia. The term global citizen really comes handy in his case. After being raised and educated in Slovakia, he set off on a Life journey to fulfill his dreams; journey that has taken him on six continents and through more than one hundred countries. He travels with an open heart and open mind, challenging various natural environments, exploring different cultures, connecting with locals and constantly learning something new.
Martin Hernam
I started off as a programmer, but I think I'm turning into a serial entrepreneur. I'm good at finding technical solutions to real-world problems. After graduating high school, I spent a year in San Diego and Silicon Valley, building my own startup (which has failed, but it taught me a lot). After I came back from the US, I never went back to university and so far it has been working out great for me.
Matej Luptak
For as long as I can remember I felt that there is more to life than what I have been seeing, having a strong desire to penetrate the mystery of my existence and to transform my experience along the way.
MELISA MINCA
I started my blog in May, 2012 and have been blogging ever since. After numerous commercial and non-commercial collaborations, today I focus more on exploring and documenting my passion – upcycling second hand material into new wearable fashion. I’m excited and curious where this new venture takes me!
Valerian Lukacko
When I was 18 years old, I went to a university in a different country, deciding to take full responsibility for my life and pay all my bills myself. And this was one of the best decisions I have ever made even though I had to fight to make enough money to pay for the basic needs such as food and accommodation, all while studying at the university. At the same time, I launched an online hockey magazine that became very popular, gaining more than 100 000 fans on social media. Later on, I found myself in a different challenge. Together with my business partner, we created a planner aimed to help people increase their productivity by organizing their life. We wanted to gain the initial funds by using crowdfunding, but our Kickstarter campaign failed really hard. Despite that, we didn´t give up and continued to work on it. A year later, we gave it a second go and after overcoming many obstacles, we pulled off a successful crowdfunding campaign that enabled us to ship our Everest Planner to the whole world.
