Chrissie Mena
Founder/President of Living60010 and Community Volunteer
Chrissie Mena lives in the Barrington area with her husband where they raised three daughters in an 1849 farmhouse they renovated. She established Living60010.com in response to a need for local reporting of charitable efforts in the community online. It quickly became a daily news source with loyal advertisers. Aside from running Living60010, Chrissie is very active in philanthropic efforts having served, started and led many local charity boards and fundraising efforts. She is currently President of the Barrington Noon Rotary, and the previous president of Barrington Junior Women's Club, Barrington Area United Way and Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital's Auxiliary. Chrissie was awarded the Barrington Area Development Council’s 2018 Citizen of the Year, the 2015 Lake County Woman of Distinction and the 2007 Illinois Citizen of the Year from the Illinois Department of Law Enforcement.
Reverend Dr. Zina Jacque
Pastor of the Community Church of Barrington
Zina Jacque has been the lead pastor for the Community Church of Barrington in Illinois for over a decade. Prior to this she served on the staffs of varying churches, as a university chaplain and has done extensive work in the areas of education, counseling, and support programs. Prior to entering ministry Rev. Jacque completed a 20+ year career in higher education serving in senior positions at Northwestern, the University of Chicago, Mills College, and the University of California (both Santa Cruz and the Office of the President). Jacque holds a Doctorate of Theology and a Masters of Divinity degree (Summa Cum Laude) from Boston University, a M.A. from Columbia University, and a B.A. from Northwestern University. She has served also on the boards of the Barrington Area Development Council, Samaritan Counseling Center of Northwest Illinois, JourneyCare Hospice and Palliative Care and the Barrington Area Ministerial Alliance, among others.
Sam Oliver
Recipient of Barrington Area Development Council (BADC) Lifetime Volunteer Award 2018
Sam Oliver and her family have lived in the Barrington area since 1968. She is primarily involved with education, health, and the environment and served as Staff Director of Citizens for Conservation for thirty one years. She is President of Non-Profit Consulting. She has served as Chair of the American Heart Association of Metro Chicago, President of the Barrington Area Development Council (BADC), Barrington Area Historical Society, Auxiliary of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, and JourneyCare where she was a founder in 1984 and is a lifetime trustee of the Foundation. Sam has been a member of the Barrington 220 Board of Education, Governing and Development Councils of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. Sam is a recipient of the Daily Point of Light award.
