In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alexander Giesecke

Alexander Giesecke and Nico Schork are only 23 years old, but already successful young entrepreneurs, founders of “TheSimpleClub”, and they have a Youtube Channel with 2 Million subscribers. They are well known amongst german students because of their online private tutoring.

Anaïs Dautais Warmel

Anaïs Dautais is the founder of Les Récupérables. and the artistic director. She studied in Brazil and has been imbued by its culture. Afterwards she came back to France her fashion tendency develops to Vintage style and starts working at second hand stores - “The Little Rocket” in Paris. Primarily the limits of the system made her realize the potential of the collective storage of massive amounts of clothes. Balancing her desire to create something and her demand to give something back to the world she has founded her own brand in 2015.

Emran Islam

Emran Islam is an expert in the emerging field of cyber resilience. He currently works at the European Central Bank, where he spends his day protecting Europe’s financial system against malicious hackers. This year, he was part of the team that developed an innovative tool to test the financial system and spot weaknesses that need fixing, known as TIBER-EU. When he’s not worrying about cyber-attacks, he spends his time designing an educational program, which he hopes to implement in schools across the developing world.

Lorena von Gordon

Jahrgang 1986, ist seit ihrer Geburt herausgefordert von der Stoffwechselerkrankung Mukoviszidose. Sie setzt sich zum Thema Organspende ein und engagiert sich für Junge Helden e.V. und Aktion Luftsprung e.V..

Philip Phat Truong

Philip Phat Truong is 25 years old and was born and raised in Germany. His parents fled from Vietnam to Germany to start a new and better life. The motivational spirit followed Philip trough his life, also working as a team leader has built his go getter mindset. He is really successful in motivating people to start a new and satisfying life and representing the so called “Generation Y”.

Susanne Kilian

Raised in Germany, she studied in Japan, China and Singapore and has worked in India, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States for more than 15 years. As an interpreter for internationally renowned leaders from US presidents to major German politicians she experiences first-hand how international misunderstandings can occur – an all-too avoidable annoyance that ends up wasting time and money. Throughout her career she has developed communication strategies to facilitate effective deal-making, presentations and negotiations.

Vladimir Danila

Vladimir Danila is one of two co-founders of Linearity GmbH. At the beginning of 2010, seven years ago, he started development of Vectornator Pro, a vector graphic software for IOS. Today, the 18-year-old student is already looking back on a series of remarkable experiences and successes. In 2015, among only a few students worldwide, Vladimir became eligible to enter the Microsoft Student Partner Program and received the Special Achievement Award in 2016. In 2017 he won the first award in computer science at the biggest student science competition in Europe “Jugend forscht” and the third award at Intel ISEF, the biggest precollege science competition in the world. Vladimir Danila speaks at conferences on iOS and Swift topics regularly. Topics like artificial intelligence keep him up at night and interest the young developer like nothing else.
