Theme: Beyond The Imbroglio

An Imbroglio is a complicated or confusing personal situation. For ages, ideas have emerged from the problems faced by mankind, the solution to which, was only found because people felt that these predicaments had an effect over their personal lives.
Thus, “Beyond the Imbroglio” lies an answer, an idea and most importantly, an objective, thought provoking talk!
Here at TEDxManipalUniversityJaipur 2018, with diverse, idea driven talks, adept personalities will elucidate their experiences and propositions and the idea of moving beyond these situations and problems and deliberate on them.

Since childhood, Deepti Sharma was curious about new business ideas, and was yearning to become an entrepreneur. She pursued her CA and worked with firms like Ernst & Young, but her entrepreneurial spirit never let her feel settled. After two years, she quit her job to start something of her own. She started her journey online startup failed miserably. Instead of losing hope, she used the stumbling blocks in her life as a learning which made her much more willing to take risks. While travelling across India, Deepti noticed several hoardings and out-of-home media were empty. Research showed very few provided any analytics to an advertiser, and that there was no on-demand platform for brands to find the right hoardings.

Known for giving logical and scientific information about fitness, he has gained over 800k subscribers over a short span of time for his Channel 'FitMuscle TV'. A man with a great sense of humour, unique storytelling ability he also took his vlogging channel 'Flying Beast' to another level. He is indeed 'The Renaissance Man'.

Hans Dalal

Tiger Conservationist, Activist

A former sound engineer, Hans Dalal has been the foremost voice in field of wildlife and nature conservation in India. Diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of 2, Hans Dalal beat all the hurdles his condition posed and made a successful career as a sound engineer, working with renowned artists like Vishal-Shekhar and Trilok Gurtu. His own NGO, PROWL, conducts projects to train forest guards and is also involved in monitoring the movement of tigers.

Hailing from Kashmir, Preveen was drawn towards magic in some form or another since he was a child. An entertainer by profession, Preveen has performed at various events worldwide, including the Indian Talent Hunt Show, "India's Got Talent". R. Sreelekha is an officer in the Indian Police Service and the First Lady Officer of the IPS from Kerala. She is a dedicated officer, author and has also served as managing director for public sector organisations in Kerala. R Sreelekha has many firsts to her name. In 1987, she became the first female IPS officer from the Kerala cadre. Three years later, she became the first woman to become superintendent of police in the state. Sreelekha shattered yet another glass ceiling after she became the first woman to be given Director General of Police (DGP) rank.

Graduated from National School of Drama, Delhi, he is a well-known television and bollywood actor, most known for working in Bollywood films including NH10 (2015), Agneepath (2012) and Welcome to Sajjanpur (2008). Born in Jaipur, he had brilliant observation skills which led his career into acting since his childhood.

Legendary Indian Dance Choreographer

From being a background dancer, to having choreographed over 2000 songs, Nirmala Nagpal, popularly known as Saroj Khan is one of the most prominent Indian dance choreographers in Hindi Cinema with a career span of over forty years. Having started her career at an early age of three as a child artist with the film Nazrana and as a background dancer in the late 1950s. Later, shifting to choreography she had to wait many years to receive acclaim which came with her work with Sri Devi and later with Madhuri Dixit after which she went on to become one of the most successful & legendary Bollywood Choreographers.
