Frank Venmans is a lecturer in environmental economics at the University of Mons. His research focuses on the analysis of emission trajectories optimizing well-being, the discount rate for evaluating projects in the future and the effect of climate policy on European industry. Since 2018, he is chairman of the Committee of Experts on Climate, whose latest report estimates that the ambition of the Walloon government's climate policies for 2030 is insufficient to stay below 2 ° C.
