Cristian Bodnar

Artificial Intelligence and Computational Biology Inventor, Winner of Global Winner in Computer Science at The Undergraduate Awards, also known as the “Junior Nobel Prize”

Cristian Bodnar is a master’s student at the University of Cambridge in the Artificial Intelligence and Computational Biology Group. Currently, his research work is focused on using genetic algorithms for teaching robots how to perform in various environments. He finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Manchester where he developed novel conditional generative models for the synthesis of images from text. For his research, he was awarded the distinction of Global Winner in Computer Science at the Undergraduate Awards, also known as the “Junior Nobel Prize.” #CSB #TEDx #Belonging #Baneasa

Ileana Botez

Head of Listing Department of the Bucharest Stock Exchange

Ileana is one of the pioneers of the Romanian capital market, with 25 years’ experience in this field. Since 1995, she has been working for the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Ileana is currently coordinating the "Fluent in Finance" educational financial programme promoted through seminars and organised all over the country. She is actively involved in volunteering non-profit associations and is vice president of Women in the Professional Women Network Administrative Councils, vice president of the Association of Independent Administrators, a member of the Romanian Association of Financial Banking-Analysts, and a member of ASEMER (Spanish-Romanian Chamber of Trade), for which she represents in the Coalition for the Development of Romania in the Financial Markets and Corporate Governance Task Force. #CSB #TEDx #Belonging #Baneasa #FluentinFinance

Mihai Țuțu is a professional photographer based in Bucharest, who is always searching for the perfect sunrise and the most colourful landscape. Oluwatobi Ayokunle Ibitoye

Artist, Performer, Influencer and Biochemist

Ibitoye Oluwatobi Ayokunle, alias Tobi Ibitoye, is a Nigerian performing artist living in Romania who majored in Bio-Chemistry and is also an alumnus of Cambridge School of Bucharest. Tobi discovered his passion for music on the popular TV show The Voice of Romania in 2015. He was listed amongst the top 30 most influential young people living in Romania under the age of 30 by Forbes Romania in 2016, at the age of 22, for the intensity of passion with which he performed on the stage. His hit single "Loving Me," remixed by Alin Dumitriu, has also been listed in Dance FM's Top 50 for the year 2018. His first TEDxCambridgeSchoolofBucharest speech in 2015 focused on domestic violence, and this year he looks forward to inspiring young minds by sharing lessons from his personal experience. #CSB #TEDx #Baneasa #Belonging #CSBAlumni

Raed Arafat

Secretary of State, MD, Head of the Department for Emergency Situations Ministry of Internal Affairs, Romania

Dr. Raed Arafat is the founder of Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication (SMURD), which was established in 1990. Starting 2007, he coordinated the activity of many institutional structures and strategic programmes for Emergency Situations, among them the Healthcare System for Emergencies and Disasters in the Ministry of Health, as well as the Department for Emergency Situations in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania. Dr. Raed Arafat has received La Legion of Honour at the class of Chevalier offered by the president of France, the International Emergency Medicine Leadership Award from American Academy of Emergency Medicine, and the National Order for Merit at the class of Chevalier and Officer offered by the president of Romania for the outstanding contribution to the development and promotion of information technology and communications in Romania. #CSB #TEDx #Belonging #Baneasa #SMURD

Virgil Stanescu

Basketball Champion, Basketball Club& National League President, Manager

Virgil is currently the Executive President of Sports HUB. He spent ten years as the captain of the Romanian National Basketball team and for five years was the Best Romanian Basketball Player. Virgil played basketball at the highest level in Euroleague, Euro Cup, and EuroChallenge. Following his active spots career, he became president of Steaua CSM EximBank team, and was also elected vice president of the Romanian Basketball Federation.
