Join us for Social Justice and the Arts: It Can’t Be Defined on Tuesday, November 12th at Guru at 6:00pm.
We'll take a close look at the relationship between Social Justice and the Arts. Whether through paint or protest, moments of art and social justice cannot be defined, but instead are recognized for their ability to evoke emotions, encourage deep and new thoughts, depict and reflect on the world, and inspire action in a different form.
Our TEDxPhiladelphiaSalon will feature a LIVE TEDx talk and a previously recorded talk, as well as a facilitated audience discussion - all in an effort to unravel the strands that connect social justice and art.
Food and drink refreshments will be provided.
Evening Schedule:
6:00pm: Doors open, check-in, refreshments
6:30pm: Opening remarks
6:45pm: TED Talk Video Screening
7:00pm: Live Speaker
