In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

It documents the treasures she has discovered along her journey and how these have helped her face adversities and conquer, not only cancer, but LIFE as well, with courage, joy and positivity.

Piyush Manush is an environmentalist from Tamil Nadu, India.He was one of the founding members of the Salem Citizen’s Forum, a collective of urban citizens that engaged in people welfare activities and improving public delivery systems. He created the "Coop Forest" in 2009, an initiative for forest preservation on 1.5 acres of hilly land in Dharmapuri.He initiated and has been instrumental in reviving water bodies such as Ammapettai Lake, Kundukkal Lake, Ismailkhan Lake, Arisipalayam Pond and Pallappatti well etc. across districts of Salem and Dharmapuri.

Women Empowerment Activist

Dr. Saundarya Rajesh is a Social Entrepreneur from Pondicherry, India. She is the founder-president of AVTAR Group and the author of the book “The 99 Day Diversity Challenge”. She is best known for her work in the area of flexible working, second careers for women, and increasing women’s workforce participation in India. She is the architect of the career re-entry of over 35,000 women, who had quit the Indian workforce, due to reasons of maternity, motherhood and lack of mobility. Her analytics-based initiative, the Best Companies for Women in India, is spurring a positive competition among India's top organizations to create the most welcoming workplaces for gender inclusion.

Mr. Sumitkumar Ray is the Head of Strategies and Innovation at Tata Consultancy Services - Utility Center of excellence. He leads the program support for TCS’ smart metering projects in the UK, the US, and Australia and has over 18 years of experience in projects involving IT and instrumentation/automation. Mr Ray talks about how a hectic life can take a toll on people and how hobbies such as taking up music or trekking benefit all aspects of a high functioning individual.
