Kara Ayers, PhD, is the Associate Director and an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCCEDD). She is Director of the newly formed Center for Dignity in Healthcare for People with Disabilities and also a co-founder of the Disabled Parenting Project. Dr. Ayers’ interests include disability identity/culture, bioethics, community inclusion, and the use of media to teach, empower, and reduce stigma. She serves on multiple task forces and national and state coalitions related to improving outcomes for people with disabilities and infuses the mantra, “Nothing about us without us,” into all of her scholarly and community-based pursuits. While often surrounded by incredible educators, Dr. Ayers cites her children: Eli, Hannah, and Riley as her greatest teachers. Lauren Gibson is a 17 year old. Lauren is a member of the Sisters of SCPA, Student Council, and is a Varsity Cheerleader. She has been on the Honor Roll her entire school career and has received numerous academic awards. Lauren’s movie debut was as a co-star in the movie “The Fits” as Maia which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival. “The Fits” was given rave reviews by Peoples Magazine and The New York Times. She is also Co-Captain of the Q-Kidz Dance Team and has been featured in music videos and documentaries. She participates in community service projects and is a self-proclaimed youth advocate, promoting peace in the community with her peers. Lauren plans on going to college to major in broadcasting. The Q-KIDZ Dance Team began 38 years ago in the West End of Cincinnati. The violence in the surrounding housing projects led Marquicia Jones-Woods to look for something the neighborhood kids could do after school to keep them safe and productive.

Hailing from Lorain, Ohio, Dr. Nicole Ausmer currently works in Higher Education. She is a 3-time graduate of the University of Cincinnati with degrees in Psychology and Education. An aspiring author and co-owner of Alex and Aus Apparel Company, Nicole considers herself a creative. In the fall of 2018 she launched her stage show Mommin' Ain't Easy Cincy that allowed women to share stories of love, laughter, trials, and tribulations when it comes to motherhood. The success of her stage show inspired Nicole to pursue her current project. Nicole is working on a book about the effects of parental incarceration on children and a non-profit called Kupona Kids. Kupona means to recover in Swahili. Nicole wants to provide a space of healing for children who experienced childhood trauma from the stigma associated with a parent in prison. Sara Clark is a philomath and a storyteller, who believes wholeheartedly in curiosity, empathy, and the power of words. She is a resident actor, director, producer, teaching artist, and grants administrator with Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, currently serving as its Associate Artistic Director. As a fourteen-year member of the CSC Resident Ensemble, she has racked up over 75 productions with CSC, tackling such roles as Rosalind, Juliet, Marc Antony, Elizabeth Bennet, Lady Macbeth, and in the spring of 2020, Hamlet. Sara is a Shakespeare mythbuster and loves teaching with CSC’s Shakespeare Summer Camp and Groundlings Program, a year-long Shakespeare intensive for high school students. She genuinely believes that one person talking to one person is the only thing that will ever change the world.

Shakila T Ahmad is an enthusiastic community leader who has dedicated herself to numerous civic and community causes, building peace and understanding for 25 years. She most recently served 5 years as Chair and President of the Board at the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati (ICGC), being the first woman to serve in this capacity at such an institution across the country. Additionally, Ahmad has or currently serves on numerous executive board of directors including the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, the Ohio Humanities Council, Islamic Networks Group, YWCA Greater Cincinnati, the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, the President's Advisory Council at Xavier University and University of Cincinnati Foundation where she has been instrumental in helping set up the Malik Islamic Studies Professorship at the College of Arts and Sciences, setting the stage for educating generations to come.

Caterer to the likes of Julia Child,Bill and Hilary Clinton, George Bush, and Bruce Springsteen. 5 years ago she sold her interest to focus on the 40% of the food insecure in Cincinnati, Ohio.
