Janet George
Trauma Responsive Care Trainer
Janet George, has served as a volunteer for Franklin County Children's Services (FCCS) for over 15 years in various roles. Janet is a certified Trauma Responsive Care Trainer and a Community Health Worker. She is also a trainer for Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets for Youth. Janet is employed with Amethyst, a recovery program of ALVIS Inc., where she leads the Children's Prevention Programming team. Janet's is the founding co-chair for the RISE SISTER RISE Research Project steering committee, which seeks to understand the trauma and resiliency experiences of black girls in Ohio. Janet is an artist who exhibits and curates locally and leads Creative Women of Color, an artist collaborative.
Marion Stuckey
Columbus CARE leader and Section Chief for Neighborhood Social Services
Marian is a licensed Independent Social Worker with over ten years of experience. Marian works for Columbus Public Health as the Section Chief of Neighborhood Social Services. Working within communities of color is a passion for Marian. Marian leads Columbus CARE Coalition which has a focus of addressing trauma. Marian also works as a part-time therapist. She enjoys reading, being outdoors and spending time with her son.
Yolanda Frierson
Outreach worker in Neighborhood health
Yolanda Frierson is the Hilltop Outreach worker for the CARE Coalition. She is a lifelong resident of the Hilltop in Columbus. As an Outreach worker, Yolanda introduces CARE to community residents, attends events, leads door to door outreach and host neighborhood committee meetings throughout the year in an effort to engage residents to increase resiliency in individuals, families, and Columbus communities.
