Anush Ter-Khachatryan
Writer and the Director of Programs
Anush Ter-Khachatryan is a writer and the Director of Programs at Creative Armenia arts foundation, which discovers, develops, and produces creative talent for the digital age. She is the co-author and the writer of the comic book Mashtots: A Not-So-True True Story (2020), which gives the reader a new perspective on the historical figure and the grand event that determined the course of Armenian history.
Anush pursued her B.A. in English and Communications at the American University of Armenia. She is also involved in all aspects of production, from creative development to post-production, on Avalanche Entertainment's film and television slate. Recent credits include I Am Not Alone (2019), winner at TIFF and AFI Fest, an IDA Award nominee, and a European Film Award selection; and Truth to Power (Live Nation Productions 2021).
Astghine Pasoyan
Sustainable Energy Expert, AUA Professor
Astghine Pasoyan is an sustainable energy expert, a skilled project manager, trainer and policy advocate in CEE and CIS with over twenty years of experience and multi-million fundraising record. Astghine Pasoyan has authored over two dozen papers on EE laws and regulations, urban heating, climate policies and renewable energy, etc. She also managed legal reform and lobbying of heating, EE and renewable energy laws in Armenia, Moldova Ukraine and Kazakhstan, National EE Strategy in Macedonia and National EE Action Plans in most of the West Balkan countries, Ukraine and Moldova, urban heating policy reviews for most SEE and CIS countries consulting for various donors and IFIs.Astghine Pasoyan is a graduate of the Brown University, Providence, RI and the Yerevan State Economic University, Armenia.
Gohar Geghamyan
Politics and Governance Student
Gohar is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Politics and Governance. For a while, she volunteered as a journalist at “Champord” newspaper. She spends her free time reading novels and poems, and writing literary pieces. This passion led her to work at a bookstore before pursuing her education at AUA. Gohar is certain that almost every life barrier can be removed only if one is eager to discover their true potentials and inner power. And the cornerstone of that is self-recognition.
Hayk Janoyan
Magician
Hayk Janoyan is a magician, who makes the impossible seem possible. He is studying at Finance Academy, as well as doing magic tricks all day long. Sometimes all night long. He is also a member of the Union of Armenian Magicians. Besides being a magician, he is also interested in Science, Spying Equipment, Handicrafts. Playing the piano is his next passion in the list. He thinks that music and magic have so much in common. Both are connected with creating something of value, something that inspires generations! In a word, Magic is his life!
Houry Pilibbossian
Photographer and Filmmaker
Houry Pilibbossian is an aspiring photographer and filmmaker of Syrian-Armenian origins. She pursued her B.A. in English and Communications at the American University of Armenia, where her oral history-based capstone (titled The Olive Branch) explored matrilineal stories of grandmothers, mothers and daughters through the lenses of culinary traditions and feminism. In the past two years Houry has been a TA at AUA for the Oral History: Collecting Life Stories course. Currently, she is a TA for the Comparative Education course. She is also a research assistant in a collaborative oral history project mapping traces and memories of genocide in Armenia’s urban landscapes. Houry’s creative work focuses on linking mundane daily activities with social and cultural research.
Samantha Isabella Adalia
English and Communications Student
Samantha Adalia is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in English and Communications at AUA. Before moving to Armenia with her family, she lived in Kathmandu, Nepal, for six years. She was homeschooled throughout her life before college and considers it a great advantage because it helped her build her work ethic, social skills, curiosity and values, as well as allowing her to dabble with a lot of disciplines and pursue her passions. As a homeschooler, she was able to travel to 37 cities and 10 countries, where she interacted with and learned from different cultures, cultivating relationships with the people she encountered. She is passionate about writing and has been blogging on several platforms since 2012. In her spare time, she likes drawing, singing, and playing instruments, jumping into random deep dives on the Internet, listening to funk music and CCM, completing her yearly reading challenge on Goodreads, and bonding with her family.
