TEDxIITBhubaneswar goes with the theme ' From Passion to Purpose '. It does not matter which domain you belong to or who you are, whether you are an artist, activist, philanthropist, Scientist or leftist/rightist. Without passion, you may speak about your idea, but not for a moment will it take your breath way leaving you speechless. If you are not passionate about what you do, then you lack the motivation to fill your mind with knowledge each day.
'Actions speak more than words' and only when an individual's action is driven by passion, the voice of their action will sound the loudest.
We seek to bring such extraordinary people from diverse fields and schools of thought, who have found a purpose through an idea or belief fueled by their passion.

Cricketer

Ajay Kumar Reddy is an Indian blind cricketer classified under B2 category who is also the current captain of the India national blind cricket team. He captained the Indian team which lifted the 2017 Blind T20 World Cup and the 2018 Blind Cricket World Cup. With an incredible record of 11 Man of the Series and 57 Man of the Matches, he was also rated as World's Fastest Bowler and Best all-rounder in the world in the history of Blind-Cricket.

Anwesha Mishra

Founder of Rays of Smiles

Anwesha has received Championship Awards in Robotics for 2 years. She has been selected for 'Destination Imagination' in Tennesse for Global Finals 2017. She has published one book and was the captain for School's STEM Girls Program. Anwesha speaks about how she had been inspired to bring a change by helping in educating children. An inspiring thought of how education is one of the single largest gifts that we can share with everyone around us to make the world a better place by helping those that have been less fortunate.

Model + Miss Universe India 2nd Runner up

Naveli Deshmukh is the NSS Brand Ambassador of Maharashtra. She was the Miss Universe India 2nd Runner up and listed as “TIMES 50 MOST DESIRABLE WOMEN OF INDIA”. By her astounding cultural skills, she also represented INDIA at CHINA and TURKEY in International Dance Competition. She was also awarded the State Youth Award of Maharastra. She was also the brand ambassador of SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN FOR AMC (PM NARENDRA MODI’S CAMPAIGN). She laid her benchmark in every field including Sports as a National Basketball and Netball Player.

Revant Himatsingka is the bestselling author of 'Selfienomics', a book which combines comedy with philosophy. Selfienomics was published by internationally renowned publishers, Bloomsbury when Revant was only 24 years old. Embracing the change and seizing the day, he quit his prestigious Wall-Street job and turned down offers from IIM-Bangalore to follow his passion. After his bachelors from NYU Stern, he is pursuing his MBA from Wharton.

Swayam Prakash Baral is a first-generation entrepreneur with a passion and commitment to social work. He has a commendable track record for serving people and contributing to the society through his dedicated organizational skills, strategic thinking and ability to troubleshoot. His entrepreneurial life started at the age of 23 immediately after completing his education from the prestigious Stirling University, UK. He started his career from UK, later he came back to India. His current entrepreneurial engagements are in the field of Renewable Energy, IT, Manpower & Event Management. Mr Baral’s work has been recognized in the field of entrepreneurship and social work and he is the recipient of the prestigious "National Youth Leadership Award - 2018" for his extraordinary achievements.
