Alex Cairns is the operations & strategy lead @ tech start-up tempo, former analyst @ J.P Morgan Investment Bank, student chair @ Coventry university & graduated with a 1st class honours degree from Coventry, CEO @ The Youth Vote, Advisor & Head of strategy to Shakira Martin (NUS President 2017-2019), UK Youth Ambassador to the EU & blogger at Huffington Post UK.
He has spent the last few years trying to break glass ceilings as he became the first student from Coventry to get a summer internship at J.P Morgan and is still to date the only student in Coventry’s 50 year history to have been on the J.P Morgan EMEA Graduate Scheme. He is passionate about making an impact, and through various leadership positions he has helped students from disadvantaged backgrounds, got more young people voting in elections to really have a democratic voice and was able to make changes on topics such as mental health as youth ambassador for the UK.
Dan Buchan
Entrepreneur and Property Investor
Dan Buchan - Dan has been in business for several years, setting up his first company when he was 18 years old, and investing in his first property at just 19.
Over the last 10 years, Dan has grown his property investment company: Aspire Property Group, to include a bespoke property sourcing service for Yorkshire portfolio building, one of the largest deal packaging companies in the UK, a refurbishment and flip company, and a portfolio of £1.1 million by the time he turned 25.
Aspire Property Group is a 2x finalist in the UK Property Awards, and has gone from strength to strength, now having helped 1000's of investors from the UK and abroad grow their investment streams and build their portfolios. Dan has gone on to mentor and speak at events across the UK to assist business entrepreneurs to build up their property businesses with the aim to show how it is possible to go from a full time career to financial freedom where you have the ability to work where you want, when you want.
Dhruv Mehta

Dhruv is the co-founder and CEO of Aument. A company in pursuit of flagging for early stage cancer using Artificial Intelligence. They purpose is to help prolong and increase the quality of cancer patients’ lives. He is a graduate from the University of York, currently pursuing a master’s degree from Imperial College London. In the past he has worked for Organizations such as the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, OPEC Fund for Industrial Development and the Institute of Cancer Research. He is passionate about the use of technology to foster development and reduce global inequality.
Katie Russell
Rape Crisis Spokesperson + Writer
Katie is a freelance writer, feminist activist and national spokesperson for the charity Rape Crisis England & Wales.
She has worked and volunteered in the Rape Crisis movement for over 15 years. In 2008, she co-founded Support After Rape and Sexual Violence Leeds (SARSVL), where she remains an active Trustee. She recently joined the Board of Leeds-based charity Positive Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers (PAFRAS).
As a specialist in sexual violence and abuse, Katie has been published in the Guardian, Telegraph and The Pool and appeared on BBC Breakfast, Lorraine, Woman’s Hour and the Today programme, among others. She is currently working on her first novel.
Kristian Myrseth

Kristian graduated from Harvard University before pursuing a PhD and a career in academia. He is now a Professor of Management at The York Management School, University of York where his research focuses on behavioural decision making and judgment, addressing topics such as self-control, pro-social behaviour, risk perception, and consumer finance.
