Theme: UDAAN

“Udaan” literally translates to “flight” in English, but in the Hindi language, it has a deeper meaning. It signifies the flowering of a human being, it signifies rising above one’s own limitations and finding the full potential of oneself. It also denotes how the life trajectory of an individual has changed during the course of “Udaan”. The lessons learned during the change stay with the individual throughout life and at the same time serves as an inspiration for others.

She also worked with UNESCO at their Paris HQ and on a couple of projects for the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne, and Asian Football Confederation in Kuala Lumpur. She anchored visits of Heads of State, International summits, political debates while covering stories from around the world including the United Nation's Climate Summit, UNGA, PM's high profile visits, Paris and Brussels attack among many others. She specialized in sports, covering the Olympic Games (Rio 2016), FIFA World Cup (2014) and Cricket World Cup (2011 and 2015), all the while helping Indian Blind Football Federation to create football centers for the blind in India.

Mr. Ankit Bhateja is the founder of Xovian, an Aerospace Startup involved in the development of its patented Passive RADAR Technology-based Nano Satellite Constellation for 24X7 real-time earth surface monitoring, providing critical real-time GIS data and predictions related to the Oceans, extreme weather events, and glacier movements. A computer science engineer with an eye for photography, he loves to motivate students. Having been a guest to many prestigious institutes across India, he leaves no stone unturned to inspire youth to turn India into a technically well-equipped country. Dr. Gopichand Katragadda

CEO & Founder, Myelin Foundry

Dr. Gopichand Katragadda is the Founder and CEO of Myelin Foundry, an AI company with a vision to transform human experiences and outcomes in wellness and media & entertainment. He is an Independent Director of Bosch India Limited and the Vice President of the IET, Board of Trustees, UK. Gopi was the Group Chief Technology Officer and Innovation Head of Tata Sons, where he facilitated the development of pioneering products and services, strategic technology collaboration, and innovation. A GE Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, he helped establish the Advanced Materials CoE at IIT-Madras and the Advanced Manufacturing CoE at IIT-Kharagpur. He has framed the CII-Tata Communications Digital Transformation CoE and set up the ongoing Tata research collaborations with Harvard and Yale. Gopi has authored a book on innovation titled “SMASH” and has over 30 journal publications, five patents, several invited presentations and citations of his research work.

Helen Spahn

Helen Spahn (Tak Hye-kyoung) is a former lecturer at the Department of Library and Information Science at Keimyung University in Korea. She suffered from a rare skin disease that changed her life until she discovered the power of switching to a positive mindset. She became the founder of what is now the leading online community “한포진 이겨내기 모임” for that disease in Korea, with about 32,000 members (since 2012) and published a book “고마운 나의 한포진 thanks my dyshidrosis” about her way of self-care and healing. She left Korea and traveled to South-East Asia, including India, to find herself and met many open-minded people, learning more about the power of community, and is spreading awareness about living with a chronic disease.

Kirat Damani

Mr. Kirat Damani is the Managing Partner of the law firm A.C.Damani & Advocates. A Corporate and Property lawyer by profession, he is also a former national cricketer who captained the Gujarat Ranji Trophy Team and represented English County Leagues. He believes that right attitude and perspective prevail over skill, and that significance of success is unduly hyped while failure is merely a state of mind. Pursuing sports psychology in order to assist sportsmen and women to have the right mindset, he founded HLRU, a non profit organisation that supports talented young sportspeople from financially non privileged backgrounds.

Even though a senior associate in Marketing at Zomato, Sahiba has done movies with Imtiaz Ali, multiple ads for leading brands and also won Best Actor awards for her short films.
