At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Agnes Mariakaki holds a Master of Arts in Organisational Psychology from the University of Lancaster, and has specialized in nonverbal communication under Dr. Paul Ekman (Paul Ekman Academy, UK) and Dr. Philippe Tourche (Institute of Synergology, France). She is a certified trauma therapist in collaboration with the University of Alberta, Canada, as well as a Neurolinguistic Programming Instructor, certified by the International Society of NLP. Since 1995 she has been managing MindSearch, a company about consumer and social research. She has offered her services for over 300 brands in more than 15 countries, having conducted more than 4,000 focus groups and in depth interviews with special populations. She is a business innovation consultant and Digital Inclusion special researcher as part of the MAMEM project. She has been awarded by Google for the concept of the Questory application and is a Lego Serious Play Facilitator. She finds her own meaning - #noema - in those changes that broaden our mind and thoughts. Christos Zampounis

Christos Zampounis was born in Thessaloniki in 1960 and is a journalist, author and book publisher (Fereniki Publications). In 1980 he graduated from the Athens Tourist Guide School and in 1984 from the Higher Industrial School of Piraeus. He also holds a DEA in Political Science from Paris II University, as well as a Masters Degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University in the USA. From 1980 to 1993 he worked as a tour guide. Then, he was a correspondent for Grammi SA. and the Free Press in Paris. In 1991 he began collaborating with French publications such as "Point de Vue", "Figaro" and "Paris Match", as well as with photo-news agencies. After 15 years in France, he returned to Greece in 1999. He has collaborated with numerous Greek and foreign publications (“Τα Πρόσωπαˮ, “ΕΝΑˮ, “Γυναίκαˮ, “Κλικˮ, “Ταχυδρόμοςˮ, “Εικόνεςˮ, “Elleˮ, “Πρώτο Θέμαˮ, “Παραπολιτικάˮ, “Εστίαˮ, “Paris Matchˮ, “Vanity Fairˮ, “Holaˮ, “Figaro Magazineˮ etc.) and presented the “Privé” show in Mega Channel. Eirini Karakasidou

Eirini Karakasidou is a Psychologist, holder of a Master's Degree (MSc) specializing in Sports Psychology and Doctor of Clinical Psychology from Panteion University. Along with her academic studies, she has completed training in Existential Psychotherapy. She is a founding member of the Hellenic Association of Positive Psychology and a member of the Branch of Positive Psychology of the Hellenic Psychological Society. Her research interests are in the field of Clinical and Positive Psychology and she has participated as a key researcher and coordinator in various European Programs on topics related to positive psychology. Η Ειρήνη Καρακασίδου είναι Ψυχολόγος, κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού διπλώματος (MSc) με ειδίκευση στην Αθλητική Ψυχολογία και Διδάκτωρ Κλινικής Ψυχολογίας του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου. Παράλληλα με τις ακαδημαϊκές της σπουδές έχει ολοκληρώσει εκπαίδευση στην Υπαρξιακή Ψυχοθεραπεία. Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Θετικής Ψυχολογίας (Ε.Ε.ΘΕ.ΨΥ.) και μέλος του Κλάδου Θετικής Ψυχολογίας της Ελληνικής Ψυχολογικής Εταιρείας (ΕΛΨΕ). Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα αφορούν στον τομέα της Κλινικής και Θετικής Ψυχολογίας και έχει συμμετάσχει ως βασική ερευνήτρια και συντονίστρια σε διάφορα Ευρωπαϊκά Προγράμματα με θεματολογία που άπτεται της θετικής ψυχολογίας.

Evagelos Gizelis

Evagelos Gizelis, of Stamatis and Asimina, was born in 1975 in Athens and is a graduate of Business Administration at the University of La Verne California. The company GIZELIS SA, relating to manufacturing machinery and solutions for the sheet metal processing industry, was founded in 1968 by his father, Stamatis, while today is managed by the second generation of the family, Evagelos himself - as CEO. He has been in charge of the company since 2000, while at the same time he has expanded the company's activities in the robotics industry, founding Gizelis Robotics. Gizelis Robotics continuously develops new technologies for the European industry and collaborates with major universities. Evagelos Gizelis considers that robotics is the future in every production process. While ambitious and optimistic, he declares his determination to succeed, highlighting the strength of Greek Production and the will of the Greeks to succeed in a national and international level. O Ευάγγελος Γκιζελής, του Σταμάτη και της Ασημίνας, γεννήθηκε το 1975 στην Αθήνα και είναι απόφοιτος Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων του University of La Verne California. Grigoris Avanidis

Grigoris Avanidis was born in 1973 in Ville, Switzerland. At the age of 10 he moved to his hometown Drama in Greece. He studied journalism and worked as a journalist, but later on he fell in love with tourism and pursued a career in travel. In 2004 he conceived the idea of the first big Christmas festival in Greece and with his collaborators he designed, created and operated the "Dream City of Drama". In 2011, as a Project Manager, he implemented the largest Christmas event in the country, the "Mill of Elves" in Trikala. He then established together with Vicky Vounia and Dimitris Symeonidis, the creative team “Dream Workers’, which to this day creates the largest theme parks in Greece, such as: the "Chocolate Factory and Museum" and the “Secret worlds of Eugene Trivizas". What characterizes Grigoris Avanidis is his -almost obsessive- faith in the power of the "good idea". Ο Γρηγόρης Αβανίδης γεννήθηκε το 1973 στο Βιλ της Ελβετίας. Σε ηλικία 10 ετών ήρθε στον τόπο καταγωγής του, τη Δράμα. Σπούδασε και εργάστηκε ως δημοσιογράφος, αργότερα όμως αγάπησε τον τουρισμό και ασχολήθηκε επαγγελματικά με τα ταξίδια. Το 2004 συνέλαβε την ιδέα της πρώτης μεγάλης χριστουγεννιάτικης γιορτής στη χώρα και με τους συνεργάτες του σχεδίασε, δημιούργησε και λειτούργησε την «Ονειρούπολη Δράμας». Το 2011 υλοποίησε, ως υπεύθυνος πρότζεκτ, τη μεγαλύτερη χριστουγεννιάτικη εκδήλωση της χώρας, τον «Μύλο των Ξωτικών» στα Τρίκαλα. Στη συνέχεια σύστησε, μαζί με τη Βίκυ Βουρνιά και τον Δημήτρη Συμεωνίδη, τη δημιουργική ομάδα Dream Workers, η οποία έως σήμερα δημιουργεί τα μεγαλύτερα θεματικά πάρκα της χώρας, όπως: «Εργοστάσιο και Μουσείο Σοκολάτας», «Μυστικοί κόσμοι του Ευγένιου Τριβιζά». Αυτό που χαρακτηρίζει τον Γρηγόρη Αβανίδη είναι η -σχεδόν εμμονική- πίστη του στη δύναμη της «καλής ιδέας».

After 20 years of executive coaching in the worlds of commerce, politics and the arts, it is estimated that Hanne Lindbaek has sat through at Least 4000 hours of aiming to ensure her clients create the impact they want. Mania Bikof

Mania Bikof was born and raised in Nea Chora, Chania, where she started water polo and lifeguarding, two activities that defined her life. She is a graduate of Physical Education and Sport Science and a mother of four. She runs the Lifeguard Hellas lifeguard academy and along with her husband Spyros Mitritsakis, also from Chania, they have founded the SaveLife - Lifeguard Hellas SAR volunteer rescue team, which has filled their souls with the values of offering, solidarity and love. As a triathlete now, she participates in ironman races as an ambassador of gynecological cancer, since in the past months... their paths met. Η Μάνια Μπικώφ γεννήθηκε κ μεγάλωσε στη Νέα Χώρα, στα Χανιά. Εκεί ξεκίνησε την υδατοσφαίριση και τη ναυαγοσωστική, δύο δραστηριότητες που καθόρισαν τη ζωή της. Πτυχιούχος ΤΕΦΑΑ, μητέρα τεσσάρων, διευθύνει την σχολή ναυαγοσωστικής Lifeguard Hellas και μαζί με τον επίσης Χανιώτη σύζυγο της, Σπύρο Μητριτσάκη έχουν ιδρύσει την εθελοντική ομάδα διάσωσης SaveLife - Lifeguard Hellas SAR η οποία έχει γεμίσει τις ψυχές τους με προσφορά, αλληλεγγύη κι αγάπη. Αθλήτρια τριάθλου πια, συμμετέχει σε αγώνες ironman ως πρέσβειρα του γυναικολογικού καρκίνου, μιας και στους περασμένους μήνες... συναντήθηκαν οι δρόμοι τους.

Mety Panagiotopoulou

Mety Panagiotopoulou is a choreographer and conducts research in the performing arts. Her interest revolves around improvisation methods, creating a viewing experience, as well as interacting with the viewer. She is a graduate of the Despina Grigoriadou Higher Professional Dance School and the Athens Law School and she also holds a Master's degree in Performing Arts from the University of Strasbourg. From 2007 to 2018 she directed the artistic group "Allahou" (allahou means elsewhere) with which he was active in theater and dance. Since 2016, she has been in charge of artistic planning at " Giortes Rokkas Festivals", an art festival that takes place every August, in Rokka and Kera Chania. In 2019 she created the "Metaxoto", a research and practice space for the performing arts, in Chania, Crete. Η Μέτη Παναγιωτοπούλου είναι χορογράφος και πραγματοποιεί έρευνα στις παραστατικές τέχνες. Το ενδιαφέρον της στρέφεται γύρω από τις μεθόδους αυτοσχεδιασμού, την δημιουργία μιας εμπειρίας θέασης καθώς και την διάδραση με τον θεατή. Είναι απόφοιτος της Ανώτερης Επαγγελματικής Σχολής Χορού της Δέσποινας Γρηγοριάδου και της Νομικής Σχολής Αθηνών, ενώ κατέχει και Μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο σπουδών στις παραστατικές τέχνες από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Στρασβούργου. Από το 2007 μέχρι το 2018 διηύθυνε την καλλιτεχνική ομάδα «Αλλαχού» (αλλαχού σημαίνει αλλού) με την οποία δραστηριοποιήθηκε στο θέατρο και στο χορό. Από το 2016 είναι υπεύθυνη καλλιτεχνικού προγραμματισμού στις «Γιορτές Ρόκκας», ένα φεστιβάλ τεχνών που πραγματοποιείται κάθε Αύγουστο, στη Ρόκκα και στην Κερά Χανίων. Το 2019 δημιούργησε το «Μεταξωτό», χώρο έρευνας και πρακτικής των παραστατικών τεχνών, στα Χανιά της Κρήτης.

Michalis Kalogerakis

Michalis Kalogerakis was born to Cretan parents in Thessaloniki and at the age of 7 moved to Heraklion, Crete. He is a researcher, electrical and electronic engineer and from the age of ten he studies biology, chemistry and physics on a daily basis. He has written and published books about how to make your own fuel and how to make your home energy-independent. He has been involved in research about fuel production with the use of renewable energy sources for 30 years. He has already been living in an energy-independent house for 25 years. He works with a group of people on the development of an energy-independent community and has modified his car to run on fuel produced by himself using renewable energy sources. His inventions have attracted the interest of various Greek and foreign organizations. Ο Καλογεράκης Μιχάλης γεννήθηκε στην Θεσσαλονίκη από κρητικούς γονείς και στα 7 του χρόνια μετακόμισε στο Ηράκλειο της Κρήτης. Είναι ερευνητής ηλεκτρολόγος, ηλεκτρονικός, μηχανικός και από τα δέκα του χρόνια μελετά καθημερινά βιολογία, χημεία, φυσική. Έχει γράψει και εκδώσει τα βιβλία "Πώς να φτιάξετε το δικό σας καύσιμο" και "Πώς να κάνετε το σπίτι σας ενεργειακά αυτόνομο". Ασχολείται 30 χρόνια με την έρευνα για την παράγωγη καύσιμων με την χρήση ανανεώσιμων μορφών ενέργειας. Ο ίδιος έχει ήδη ζήσει 25 χρόνια σε ενεργειακά αυτόνομο σπίτι, εργάζεται με μια ομάδα ανθρώπων για την ανάπτυξη μιας ενεργειακά αυτόνομης κοινότητας και πλέον τροποποίησε το αμάξι του ώστε να κινείται με καύσιμο που το παράγει ο ίδιος με την χρήση ανανεώσιμων μορφών ενέργειας. Οι εφευρέσεις του έχουν προσελκύσει το ενδιαφέρον Ελλήνων αλλά και ξένων φορέων.

Panagiotis Sainatoudis

Panagiotis Sainatoudis is the founder of Peliti (1995) www.peliti.gr. He began to get involved in traditional seeds in January 1991 when he organised the first group for the collection, preservation and spreading of traditional seeds in Greece. Within five years he collected more than 1,200 varieties of traditional seeds. In 1995 he made the first public distribution of traditional seeds in Greece. In 1999 he organized the first Public Traditional Seed Exchange event, considered by many to be the largest seed festival in the world. Since 2017 he has been organizing the Olympic Seed Festival. On the 22nd of May 2009 he was honored as "Guardian of Mediterranean Biodiversity" by the General Director of Bioversity International. In 2013 Peliti received an award for its volunteer work in Greece from the President of the Republic of Greece Mr Karolos Papoulias. Ο Παναγιώτης Σαϊνατούδης είναι ο ιδρυτής του Πελίτι (1995) www.peliti.gr. Ξεκίνησε να ασχολείται με τους παραδοσιακούς σπόρους τον Ιανουάριο του 1991, όπου οργάνωσε την πρώτη ομάδα για τη συλλογή, διατήρηση και διάδοση των παραδοσιακών σπόρων στην Ελλάδα. Μέσα σε πέντε χρόνια συγκέντρωσε πάνω από 1200 ποικιλίες παραδοσιακών σπόρων. Το 1995 έκανε την πρώτη δημόσια διανομή παραδοσιακών σπόρων στην Ελλάδα. Το 1999 οργάνωσε την πρώτη Γιορτή Ανταλλαγής Παραδοσιακών Σπόρων,κατά πολλούς η μεγαλύτερη γιορτή σπόρων στον πλανήτη. Από το 2017 οργανώνει την Ολυμπιακή Γιορτή Σπόρων. Στις 22 Μαΐου 2009 τιμήθηκε ως «Φύλακα της Βιοποικιλότητας της Μεσογείου» από τον Γενικό Διευθυντή του Bioversity International. Το 2013 το Πελίτι τιμήθηκε για την εθελοντική του προσφορά στη χώρα, από τον Πρόεδρο της Ελληνικής Δημοκρατίας κ. Κάρολος Παπούλιας.

Theodoros Tsirigotis

Theodoros Tsirigotis, Ph.D., Postdoc is a Clinical Psychologist - Psychotherapist - Trauma Therapist. He is an excellent graduate of postgraduate studies in France, the United States and the United Kingdom, and his doctoral thesis has been awarded an ESRC English Government Scholarship. He was honored with the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Scholarship for his research activity. He was also a Fellow IOC at McLean Hospital in Harvard Medical School. He works as a psychologist in Athens and Chania, while in recent years he has been training new therapists at the Psychological Center of Chania - Institute of Psychotherapy & Education. Ο Θεόδωρος Τσιριγώτης, Ph.D., Postdoc είναι Κλινικός Ψυχολόγος - Ψυχοθεραπευτής -Τραυματοθεραπευτής. Αριστούχος απόφοιτος μεταπτυχιακών σπουδών στη Γαλλία, στην Αμερική και στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, η διδακτορική του διατριβή έχει λάβει υποτροφία της αγγλικής κυβέρνησης (ESRC). Τιμήθηκε με την υποτροφία Marie Sklodowska-Curie για την ερευνητική του δραστηριότητα. Επίσης, ήταν Fellow IOC, στο McLean Hospital της Ιατρικής σχολής του Harvard. Εργάζεται ως ψυχολόγος στην Αθήνα και στα Χανιά, ενώ τα τελευταία χρόνια εκπαιδεύει νέους θεραπευτές στο Ψυχολογικό Κέντρο Χανίων - Ινστιτούτο Ψυχοθεραπείας & Εκπαίδευσης.

Vaggelis Chatzis

Growed up in Liosia, Attica, 32-year-old Vaggelis Chatzis is a boxer in AEK team and one of the youngest coaches of the team. He was born in difficult times, after the explosion of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, and thus he carries with him the consequences of this tragic accident. He has been involved in wrestling and swimming, and after a trip to Nottingham, Great Britain, he came in contact with boxing/wrestling, which is still his great love. He has participated in national, European and world events. He is the world’s only one-handed professional boxer. Mεγαλωμένος στα Λιόσια Αττικής, o 32χρονος Βαγγέλης Χατζής είναι πυγμάχος της ΑΕΚ και ένας από τους νεότερους προπονητές της ομάδας. Γεννημένος στις δύσκολες εποχές, μετά την έκρηξη του πυρηνικού αντιδραστήρα του Τσερνόμπιλ, κουβαλάει μαζί του τις συνέπειες του τραγικού αυτού δυστυχήματος. Έχει ασχοληθεί με την πάλη και την κολύμβηση, ενώ μετά από ένα ταξίδι του στο Νότιγχαμ της Μεγάλης Βρετανίας ήρθε σε επαφή με το μποξ/πυγμαχία που έγινε μέχρι και σήμερα η μεγάλη του αγάπη. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πανελλήνιες, ευρωπαϊκές και παγκόσμιες διοργανώσεις. Αποτελεί το μοναδικό εν ενεργεία μονόχειρα πυγμάχο στον κόσμο.
