Theme: Bending the beliefs

This event occurred on
December 17, 2021
Dharan, Kosi
Nepal

In light of the theme, “Bending the Beliefs”, our principle focus is to highlight the ground reality of our system in its stark glory, analyse our core judgements and try to figure out how we can progress as a society. For the local community, engaging with such first hand accounts of the speakers will provide them a better insight to their experiences, allow them to reflect introspectively and change their preconceived notions on sensitive subjects.

Organising TEDxBPKIHS will not only provide the institute a platform to share its ideas globally, but will also bring pragmatic effects in promoting consciousness and comprehension regarding health related issues locally. Through such real life stories, we also hope to underline the shortcomings of the healthcare system in Nepal faced by patients and doctors alike. We believe that such conversations will not only challenge the superstitions and beliefs that have been inculcated in us but will also revolutionise medicine- its practice and perception- as a whole.
