In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

He hopes to study technology and become an engineer in the future to help solve the world’s pressing problems.

Ella is a 4th grader at Richmond Christian School. She is a talented dancer and singer, who also plays the piano and the drums. When not churning out tunes, Ella is an avid reader, and authors her own books. But there’s nothing like competition to spark her into giving it all she’s got.

Jeffrey Mah

Pharmacist

Jeffrey Mah is a doctoral candidate at Institute of Child Health at University College London and the founder of Otak Natural Skincare. His doctoral research focuses on molecular biology and organic chemistry for drug discovery. His current research project involves extracting SFTI-1 from sunflowers and developing therapeutic intervention for eczema. Jeffrey obtained his bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical studies, where he conducted research in ethnopharmacology to analyze the relationship between species biodiversity and medicinal development.
