In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Priscilla Chomba Kinywa is a Digital Transformation Strategist and ICT4D expert, with experience in technology and innovation spanning 19 years and in over 50 countries on five continents. She spent the first twelve years of her career in the United Nations, working with WFP and later UNICEF to deliver life-saving interventions that relied on the power of technology. She has also worked with large international non-profits to help them understand how to use technology to solve some of humanity’s most pressing global challenges and is always keen to support individuals and organisations that want to combine innovative thinking and technology to ‘do good better’.
