Theme: Climate Matters

Climate change is changing every second. World is facing the brunt of such adverse changes. We are hopeful of reversing it through meaningful dialogue and actions. It is possible, given the discourses that influence sustainable technologies and use of finite resources, to influence change. We would want this space to centerstage actions and inspire young minds to take it up as one among their varied mission in life.

We have planned for a virtual connect keeping in mind the recent developments. Will post updates as we finalise our plans. Event speaker lineup has been oversubscribed and we have 23 speakers ready to give their talk, mostly neo-millennials.

Dr. Shamili Thirumaran, a dental surgeon by profession with passion for nature and global health. She aspired to be a surgeon serving in healthcare but life had different plans for her! Surviving medical negligence and understanding the essence of life changed her path. Love towards nature healed her life. She emphasizes the importance of nature and has initiated projects to conserve nature and promote natural foods for a better world. She is the CEO and founder of Laya Naturals - A nature-based food brand. She also runs an NGO ""LAYA Initiative"" for environmental wellbeing. She conducts nature and environmental workshops. She also provides eco-education and psychoeducation for young minds. Dr. Sham loves bridging and balancing between nature, health, and justice. She enjoys volunteering in social responsibilities and delivering speeches in schools, colleges, and corporate sectors by encouraging and imparting environmental and mental well-being.

Author of a book titled “Your Life Graduation”, I am an entrepreneur by profession, a farmer by passion, and a philanthropist by heart. Prior to my entrepreneurship pursuit, I possess over 17 years of a successful corporate career in Financial Services and IT domains with extensive global working experience in over 10 countries across the continents. My life journey spanned from a difficult childhood, where I was a school dropout in Grade 8 due to prolonged financial distress in my family and I had a complete disconnect from formal education for over 7 years and I was into full-time farming for basic survival during those years. I reconnected to formal education by pursuing my graduation through distance education, then pursued my regular MBA from Madras University, which was the turning point for my professional career. My school dropout days ignited my passion and obsession with continuous learning and I have acquired over a dozen professional diplomas and certifications.

"I'm Hasini Lakshminarayanan a 13 year old young Entrepreneur studying in Chettinad Vidyashram I run a non profit organization called The First Step where I interview young achievers and write more content related to inspiration genres . I love public speaking and did my first Ted talk at krm public school ok the Titel First Step to conquer . I'm Also a writer for the Hindu school edition . And am doing various sessions and seminars in schools and colleges on the topic the first step matters . Have interviewed 80 plus children written close to around 50 plus articles and 50 plus sessions and seminars have interactes with close to around 1 lakh plus youth globally.

Fashion Managment Graduate, Strategic Digital Marketer

Kezia Kancharla is a fashion management graduate from the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London. Prior to this she completed her bachelor’s in design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, specializing in leather goods and accessories. Throughout her time of study Kezia has initiated many on-site projects within the leather industry, studying, first-hand the ergonomic conditions of tannery laborers and the adverse impact of chemical pollution in local resources. She is a strong ally to the sustainability community and believes that fashion has a larger part to play than initially anticipated. Kezia is now entering the field of strategic digital marketing in an attempt to rebrand what sustainability can mean in the world of fashion. A creative curator and design thinker, Kezia aspires to influence the millennial fashion mindset, advocating for a shift in the narrative surrounding ethically sourced fashion.
