Our event "TEDxPiloteAriana" is finally here!
This year's theme "A CRAVE FOR CHANGE" centers around finding solutions to problems that concern TUNISIA .
Our speakers will criticize various aspects in their intended fields and come together to suggest solutions, all while bringing new concepts and viewpoints to the table. Our fourth edition is going to be extra special. After two years of online events we are finally bringing back our audience, and we intend to make it an outstanding occasion for all our guests.
Join us on the 17th of June 2022 on a journey of mind-blowing conversations and inspiring speeches. We strive to bring together speakers from different perspectives across a wide range of fields, to give our audience a broader vision and help share new ideas.

Firas El Echi

Broadcast Journalist/ Producer

“Still till this day, my first failure is my most important success” Firas El Echi, a broadcast journalist, a TV & radio presenter, a producer and a commentator for a number of news and sports outlets in Tunisia and Europe, shares his inspirational success story through his TED talk. In 2014, he became the only Tunisian producer and anchor reporting for the BBC network.

Hatem Karoui

Actor, Presenter, Stage Artist + Manager

Hatem Karoui is a Tunisian stage artist, a SLAM poet, a comedian, and a satirical singer. He obtained an Executive Master in Cultural Resource Management and Policy Analysis from Dauphine University - Paris in September 2020 and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from ISG - Tunis (High Institute of Management) back in 1996. Additionally, he held various leadership positions in sales and marketing and was the manager of several projects.

Louai Chebbi

Politician + Activist

As the president of “ALERT”, an organization which aims to tackle economic rent, Louai Chebbi is a politician and an activist committed to combat the rent-seeking system. He graduated from the school of law and political and social sciences of Tunis and went on to pursue a law degree from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Mohamed Jabeur

Freelancer, trainer + translator

As a freelancer, a trainer in soft skills and graphic design as well as a founder of the “Mawsoa School” website, Mohamed Jabeur has been a determined activist ever since his graduation from the Higher Institute of Languages Nabeul with a bachelor’s in English Language and Literature/ Lettres. He is also a professional translator and an instructor.

Sami Gattoufi

Painter & philosopher

Sami Gattoufi, born in Bizerte, is a painter, Recipient of the Honorable Mention of the H. Strogatz Prize, medical student and philosopher.
