Captain Bana Singh PVC, is an Indian soldier and a recipient of the nation's highest gallantry award, the Param Vir Chakra. As a Naib Subedar in the Indian Army, he led the team that wrested control of the highest peak on the Siachen Glacier in Kashmir from Pakistani forces as part of Operation Rajiv. Following his success, India renamed the peak (previously designated as Quaid Post by the Pakistanis) to Bana Post in his honour.

Darshan Darshi is a bilingual author who has written books in Dogri as well as English. He, primarily wishes to be acknowledged as a Dogri author where he has written extensively in literary genres like poetry, fiction, personal essays and literary criticism and maintains that writing in English or translating into that language is only to increase his outreach. Awarded by Sahitya Akademi in 2006 for his Poetry collection in Dogri, he has penned 8 books( 5 in Dogri & 3 in English) and is currently on the Executive Board of Sahitya Akademi besides being Convener of Dogri Advisory Board there. He is also Member Central Committee/ G.C of J& K Academy of Art Culture& Languages. He is a retired civil servant and his actual name is D.K.Vaid. As a life coach he has been writing and delivering talks on life skills, personality development, self motivation and humanism.

An Indian disabled social worker and Padma Shri 2020 recipient from Bejbihara Anantnag, Kashmir. Javed established the Humanity Welfare Organization, which helps under privilege women by providing medical assistance. He has also founded an educational institution in Bijbehara named Zaiba Aapa Institute of Inclusive Education which provides free education to children with special need of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Kritika Khanna

India's First Female Para Rower

Kritika Khanna, saw her life turn upside down after she had to undergo an amputation, following a life-threatening accident in 2003, which left her bedridden for months. This unfortunate incident might have been the end of the road for many in their lives, but not for Kritika. Instead, she decided to fight back and she did it the hard way, becoming the first ever female Para-rower from India. She then went on to achieve a bachelors degree in Animations and then succeeded in attaining a MBA. Taking up a new sport, particularly at the age of 33 was not an easy task, but it is Khanna’s strength and determination that has allowed her to take up para-rowing professionally and make tremendous progress. Bouncing back from her injury was a clear indicator of her willpower, but her inextinguishable focus is what has brought her where she is. From being an amputee at the age of just 18 to representing the country at the age of 34, Kritika Khanna is an inspiration to many across India.

Also, she is second crorepati of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC) Season 12 and the first female IPS officer to win Rs 1 crore on the show. Hailing from a humble background, Mohita's story is far from ordinary as she succeeded to become an IPS officer fighting against lots of odds.
