TEDxUniversityofBenin is an independently organized TED billed to hold in Benin City in 2022. In light of TED's mission - “Ideas worth spreading.” TEDxUniversityofBenin is organized by students of the University of Benin for the University of Benin community and Edo state in general.

Our story has one agenda, one goal; to REIMAGINE.

To Reimagine is to form a new conception of an issue. To reimagine what could be in place of what is.

Ultimately, We are aiming for a paradigm shift. Benin is not just the negative stereotypes; it is more than that and has the human capital for a more significant impact.

We hope to achieve three things with TEDxUniversityofBenin:
Change the narrative.
To inspire the youths to make a meaningful impact
To provide the platform to do so.

Ized Uanikhehi

Founder, Zedi Africa Inc.

Ized Uanikhehi, Founder and CEO of Zedi Inc., a marketing tech company focused on providing growth marketing services to startups, is a graduate of Biochemistry with over 13 years of post-college experience in Marketing who has spent the last nine years changing the digital marketing landscape of Africa through her works. She is known for founding and leading growth at startups like TORA Africa, an impact-driven Human Resources technology startup focused on the informal sector, to Loose Media, a dynamic digital marketing and advertising agency that created insightful marketing campaigns for big corporations, brands, and businesses like the digital bank, V, among others. Ized enjoys taking up daunting tasks to help build and grow brands people love in Nigeria, Africa and the world. She has worked for and with Multi-billion Naira International and local brands, successfully developing and working on several creative digital content and offline marketing strategies.

John Iyoha

John Iyoha is a trainer and facilitator with a manifest ability in business training, corporate and personal branding, organizational development, and business continuity. He is renowned for training thousands on many platforms, including the company he co-founded- Mindshift Consultancy and Services, where business owners are guided to success through proven methods and strategies. He also teaches aspiring and current entrepreneurs the rudiments of starting, growing, scaling, and sustaining businesses. He is a graduate of the University of Benin and a GIZ-certified Trainer, Facilitator and Coach in employability, entrepreneurship, and organizational development. He is married to the beautiful Treasure Ernest Iyoha.

Stephen Osawaru

Stephen is a Computer Scientist with a B.Sc. in Statistics with Computer Science, a Master’s in Business Administration and a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management at Enterprise Development Centre, Pan Atlantic University (Lagos Business School). He is also a Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer with a 1-year Leadership/Management training and certification at the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development. Stephen is an enthusiastic, passionate, hardworking and honest personality to promote the Nigerian dream, democratize business/enterprise knowledge and develop unique and innovative solutions in Nigeria. He has organized 16 major business and leadership seminars with over 3,000 attendees during the last edition. Stephen is a startup training consultant and the founder of Ignite Startupx, Addcars Limited and Dynat Future Solutions. Stephen has given over 600 business and entrepreneurship lectures in Nigeria, speaking to audiences ranging from students to professionals and helping them achieve their life goals in Agrotech, fintech, deep tech, AI and other areas.
