Britney Quiroz
Britney is a First-Generation, Mexican-American, Chicana artist and curator who creates art to empower low-income communities to combat social injustice and create youth-led initiatives to uplift the voices of Black and Brown youth. Raised in the South Side of Chicago, she began making radical community theater with artists such as Ricardo Gamboa, alongside Free Street Theater. She is currently in her second year, studying Drama and Social Cultural Analysis and will be completing her primary training and Playwrights Horizons. She is also an intern for Coalición Mexicana in The Bronx where she teaches English and has facilitated Citizenship courses to help immigrants obtain their U.S. citizenship.
Jay Iyer
Jay Iyer is a sophomore at Harvard College concentrating in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Statistics. His specific interests lie in developmental neurobiology and the study and treatment of movement disorders, namely Parkinson's disease and progressive supranuclear palsy. He conducts research in cortical development and analyzes clinical trial data to understand movement disorder genetics and improve clinical outcomes.
Maria DeVito
Maria is a dedicated mother, wife, teacher, and business leader, who is passionate about achieving excellence in all her endeavors. Her interest in communication began in 2002, when she taught a high school elective course on interview skills, which helped students secure internships and college admissions. Maria has been an English and technology teacher for more than 20 years and has been involved in various initiatives in the Stamford, Connecticut public school district, including curriculum development, technology, and social-emotional well-being. She is a trained mentor, an initial teacher evaluator, and served as the lead teacher in a co-taught special education classroom for several years.
